WHAT ARE WE WEARING THIS SUMMER PEOPLE?

I also wear what looks good but I'm so tired of looking at this skin of mine.  Arms especially.

Junior dresses work for me because I have no boobs left (or ass, lol).  I need a bigger size in dresses because my rib cage is wide.  What I like about juniors is they are the right length for my height.

Great question.

I always wore heels.  Now I'm more comfortable in them and a half to full size smaller shoe.  I wear more of them.

Last week I went sleeveless for the first time in 25 years.  I went to a friend's house after her cookout (when I knew not many people would be there).  I wore a multi-layered print dress with bronze wedge mules- cute outfit.  I felt free and great.  I'll do it again a little more public next time.

I was never one of those big girls that let it all hang out.  It has to be full coverage in the back- can't do the spagetti straps or wide arm yolk tank tops- the back fat behind my armpit is not cute and has to be kept in check.  Knee length shorts are also a must because the thigh overflow is "interesting" at best.  And, depending on the fit of the pants, a tunic type top may be necessary because the belly is still there.

Why oh why did the T & A have to go so quickly?  I just didn't think that could ever be an issue with me..

I display my assets, always have.  Accentuate the positive and you reduce focus on the not so pretty areas.   I'm big on fit so if it ain't working I'm not wearing no matterr how much I like it.  I hear you on dressing for your body type.

Sounds like a slammin outfit.  You shuld have shown up in all your glory when the crowd was there but that time will come.  Your former T&A are probably off in some land of the lost along with mine, lol.

My big change is going sleeveless.  If the batwings offend somebody, they can just get over it.

I hear you.  Wear what works for you because you damn sure can't please anybody else.

Normally I go sleeveless or wear very short sleeves in Summers.  This year however, my skin is doing this weird hanging puckering thing when I bend forward, arms and thighs.  I'm good with the batwings but its time to find a new kind of Summerr sleeve.

I have a couple of these sheer covers that I bought form Chico's last year.  They're nice if you want just a little bit of coverage, like at work.  I'm actually wearing one now.

I'm dressing more like i used to before I had my big big weight gain.  Had only worn a dress once in probably seven years prewls, wearing them more, especially to special occassions.  I'm wearing all stuff from last year, since i'm at a stalemate atnd have been since fall,  but have halter tops, maxii & sun dresses, tube tops.  Capris unfortunately may not be an item for me this year, as those were too big for me by the end of last summer.  I wish I could rock heels, but too clumsy, no matter what size I am,  I wore a pair of heels to work monday & twisted my ankle a couple of times.  Always am in awe for those who can walk in "big girl" shoes! LOL  My arms are looking a lil worse, but will not cover them up either.  Now I have a couple of swmsuits, but unless i can find a pair of those boy board shorts, will not be sporting it in public!! URGH!!
