What's in a name?

After Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon revealed the names of their twins (Monroe and Moroccan Cannon) earlier today, I couldn't help but recall some other favorite celebrity baby names from the past. Here’s a list of a few of my other faves:

1. "Jermajesty – The name bestowed on Jermaine Jackson’s son.  I'll bet his nickname around the house is Lil 'Greasy.

2. "Moon Unit", "Dweezil", "Ahmet Emuukha Rodan", and "Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen" – The late, great musician Frank Zappa concocted these names. I'm sure he consulted a few other famous people first to come up with these winners: Ms. Mary Jowanna and her life partner, Hair O. Win, Mr. Koe Kane, and Dr. Jack Daniels.

3. "Sage Moonblood" – for the son of Sylvester Stallone. I kinda get the Moonblood part but Sage sounds a little built-in just in case the boy wakes up and decides to become a newd stripper for male tourists someday.

4. "Audio Science" – Actress Shannyn Sossamon chose this name with kickboxing instructor Dallas Clayton. Yeah I don’t know why either.

5. "Moxie CrimeFighter" and "Zolten" – Penn Jillette – of the famous magic duo Penn & Teller – named his two children with the American and Hungarian spirit in mind. These names sound more like Saturday morning kids cartoon shows to me, but hey what do I know?!

6. "Pilot Inspektor" from Actor Jason Lee (My Name is Earl) & Beth Riesgraf. I guess Spongebob Squarepants or Jock Itch was already taken huh?

Personally, I like Erykah Badu's "Seven" and Gyneth Paltrow's "Apple". And you can absolutely not forget the 3 Demi Moore and Bruce Willis kids...Rumer Gleen, Scout LaRue, Tallulah Belle...I think the inclusion of weird azz middle names speaks volumes as to why he was banging the babysitter and now she has become one.

Nicholas cage named his son after superman...but not his government name of "Clark", that would be too normal.  He gave him the name superman's true name as he's known as on Krypton  "Kal-El"

Nicole Ritchie must  still be using drugs on the DL to hame her son Sparrow?? At least she's not taking the boy to get mani/pedi's like gwen "" I ain't got a lick of sense" stefani.
