Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses

Tell the whole truth and be accountable.  How deep is your commitment to weight loss and maintenance today?  Are you living the solution be it a no op; just thinking about it; pre op; newbie; active looser; re looser; maintainer; or anything else I may have forgotten?

Regardless of your stage in the process. Regardless of surgical or non.  Regardless of your particular eating plan.  Remember what lead you here.  Remember what you want to get from this process.

Life gets in the way but it will always be so.
We have to learn to cope this this just like recovering alchoholics or drug users etc.  Sure we can't just walk away so we must be ever vigilant.

Every time you prepare to eat, consider whether the food choices and portions will help you reach your desired end result.  Screwing your diet and exercise only adds to life's troubles.

When life is getting in the way don't use your weight loss goals to make things worse. Focus on your plan is something you can keep going.  Focus on your plan is a distraction to help get you through life's other chalenges.

Up and ready for another day of EFS,  it is so second nature right now that I can do it with my eyes closed lol.   But last night I wanted a burrito so I went and got a carne asada burrito with no beans or rice, came home unrolled it, threw away the tortilla but bit it twice.  (greedy) and had that with my veggies,  I needed some more flavor in my meat and that did it.

I was finally able to get in 3 water bottles yesterday and i'm going to try for 4 today because I have been awful with the water and I don't want lack of water to stop my weight loss.

So i'll be here when yall are ready Smashing the Fat.

Come on i'm lonely Damit.

Yeah MsLee!  Go for that fourth bottle today.   Get that minimum 64 oz in girl.  I'm working on getting it together then on to second nature.  Keep up the inspiration.  Some of us need it bad.

Season that meat and make it tasty.  You don't get much of it so make the most of it.  I'll be suffering with you real soon, lol.

Damn life is getting in the way.  I finally figured out or more accurately decided to face my problems.   My issue with getting started on the Extreme Fat Smash Diet have zero to do with having to eat in a manner I' don't care for.   Hell, that is not new.  The problem is distracting myself from problems and using poor eating to do it.

Misery loves company and there are some distressing miserable situations around me that are totaly out of my control.  This month I nearly lost a thirty plus year friend to illness. I don't know that he'll even still be with us in just a few weeks.  Then a family member was diagnosed with serious illness as well within just a few days.  And yet another decade long friend is copin with serious illness, the second in the same family.  This is where my issues lie.  Not with my own health and definetly not with EFS.

As I noted above, not doing the right thing will help no one.   Even on day four on my ass with my feet up I can eat well until able to do a serious workout.  I'm giving it until Wednesday then I'm up and running and doing my EFS.  I'm getting used to the foods but wl is not goung to happen until the swelling goes down.  Hopefully I'll drop the swelling and the fat and gett hack in my clothes in a couple of weeks.

So, by mid week or sooner its back to plan.  I'm dying to do my h210k but it will be EA Sports Active 2 for a light run today.   Hopefully it will help bring my bp doen and move some of this fluid out.

******g myself over will not change anything.   Going to grab some potassium and find something to cleanse my liver whatever that may be.   Gotta get life out of the way.

Today, I am going to work out at the gym.   I been working out for the past 3 days, so doing great with that.   I did gain 2 pounds over the Easter weekend.   Yes, I ate cake and a little peach cobbler.

I had a big falling out with my baby father.   He is such a big emotional part of my life.   Wish he didn't think, we are suppose to be a couple.   Sometimes, people are better off as friends.   He will never get it, until I do something crazy.  (I know why he thinks that, I am so cute and just the best thing that ever came into his life)

Then I found out my BidWiz partner at the church died last week.  I attended her funeral on Tuesday.   When her daughter got up and spoke, I just cried and cried.   Because, I knew how she felt, losing my mom in my twenties, it just hurt.

Decided after the funeral, life was too short to argue with the baby's daddy.  We talk, then found out his mom, has decided to not treat her gangrene.  She told him, she is ready to go home to the Lord.  So, he was sad.  I am like his comfort poo-na-nee.   I had to be nice, I know he going through a lot.   Will take the baby to see her soon.

He want us to meet and talk on Friday.  That is my day off, for me.   I will meet anyway, damn, our daughter is only 4, how many more years do I have to deal.  Maybe we will get it together one day.

But, got on the scale this morning, lost those 2 pounds gain over the weekend.

Now on to losing more weight.   Going to really put my best foot forward, want to be down 100 pounds by my doctor appt on June 15th.   I have 12.9 pounds to go and 6 and a half weeks to complete it.   Game face on.

Keep the workouts going girl.  Life is too short to let others get in your way.  We can't change relaity but we can change how we respond to it.  That's what I need to learn myself as well.

Feeling committed to eating the calories allotted to achieve my weight loss goal by November.
However the choices of the calories are very unwise at times.  I have been craving candy.  In the past I would give in to craving and still eat my protein which would put me over the top.  No longer do I follow that pattern but stay within my boundaries whether good choices or bad.  This has helped get back to making the right choices quicker. My poor choices come fewer and farther apart.
In a perfect world this would not be my dilemna but, oh well.  Today I ate a coconut bar - 310 cal, 42 carbs.  I ate it, journaled it and realized it was not worth it.  Not journaling would have cost me so much more.  That reminds me that though I make stupid choices, I am commited to this journey.

 With  I will succeed.

My candy is atkins bars.  The daybreak and endulge.  I stick to the under 200 cal set.  This way I make the most of my calories and still get my sweets in.

Progress!  You are staying within your calorie range and that's what matters most.

I'm six and half years post-op for Lap-Band and hanging in there!!  Restriction is good, but I'm a late night eater.  I can go all day on a protein shake without feeling hungry, and become ravenous at 11:00 p.m.  Working on that, and exercising consistently.

I'm gonna check out your links and see what's new.  I hadn't heard about the new Fat Smash thing, so I'll take a look.  Every few months I do 3 or 4 days of liquids, or I'll try a cleanse.

I have night eating spells too but thankfully not all the time.  We've got to spread those meals to keep metabolism at its best.

Extreme Fat Smash is not new but its working for MsLee who has metabolic issues that fight fat loss.  I'm also trapped in that same boat.  I can gain weight even with a calorie deficit.

Fingers crossed it will work as well for me as it has for MsLee.  The book is just $5 at amazon plus its an easy read too.  Next week I'm on it.
