Take control.

Are you in control of your life or does addiction, in one form or another, control you? When you are in control, you can decide to stop an unwanted behavior, and there is little consequence. It's a simple decision.

If you have trouble stopping your behavior, and you can't seem to get it out of your mind, you may be facing an addiction. You may find yourself obsessing, or even suffering withdrawal symptoms (such as nervousness, sweating, or excessive anxiety). When you experience withdrawal, you have crossed a line. You are not in control anymore. If you get to that point, you must seek out help.

Action for the day: Evaluate if you are obsessing about something. Decide who will be in control--you or your obsession. If you need help, get it.

Thanks for the inspiration.  Some people are weekend alcoholics.  I am a weekend foodaholic so it is imperative that my weekends are planned.  It doesn't take much to derail me.  However weekdays are easier.  Plans are made.  Weekends tended to be a free for all.  I know about eating for the weekend.  Planning is my key.
