move to alabama

I maybe offered a position in Birmingham to live for a great job.. here is the thing Hubby is going to PGH and I will be going to AL.. Im glad for the move but scared bout moving there knowing I had this surgery and would have to find a surgeon down there. My hubby just got a great position with his company but I would be making more money and it is hard to swallow... he has been wanting this position for a long time.. i dont want to kill his thunder but he doesnt want to come to Al.. hmm.. what should I do..

Finding a surgeon is the least of your worries.  You can find someone in a large city through your health insurance plan if not by a personal referral.  If all you need is your annual check up you can do your blood work a week or two before and travel.  In the event of an emergency you'd only meet your surgeon if you go to his hospital.  Many people live no where near the local hospital were they had wls. 

The important question for you and DH: What's this marriage worth?  How you each answer it will make the decision for both of you.  This will be a long hard painful round of talks as a family.  You won't both get exactly what you want so neither will be perfectly happy.  Best wishes that you find some arrangement you can both live with free of resentments.
