Daily calorie needs calculator
A more advanced calculator that's still easy to use.
Advanced option lets you choose from 3 different calculation methods. Enter data once for calorie needs at maintenance; plus calorie needs for 2 different levels of weight loss; and, results include a week long calorie cycling plan. Calculator takes into account age and gender as well as activity level. Links to other calculators are on the same page.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I've gained a full pound overnight. I pray its not one pound so far and just tom weight. Body water % remains constant so for today I can't call this water weight.
Weight gain is right on time at 3.4 lbs from my low weight. It does not seem like much but for me it is the difference between fitting my clothing --or not. My 'goal for life pants' only fit at goal weight or less. My winter jeans which never fit this winter are even five pounds or so tighter. My loose jeans are cutting me up the crotch and my thighs look like over stuffed sausages in them. I am not very happy at the moment.
Right now I am tempted to say:
a) fkcu it why even bother; or
b) must cut cals/ carbs to famine level
I will do neither. Knowing exactly where I stand, I am not in a weight gaining position. Exercise has been lacking this week; however, I have reduced calories accordingly. Daily I have consumed below my weight loss requirements and well below my maintenance needs. In addition, I have gotten in my basic exercise minimum built into my plan.
So as usual, there is no reason for weight gain. This time I will not create one by pushing myself to starvation or decreasing weight loss potential by eating to maintenance. There will be no negative self fulfilling prophesies added in this time.
I have another endocrinology visit this month and I will go over this history with her. She has had over six months to watch me "diet" only to fluctuate in a 20 lb range. Let's see what she's really worth. I've been trying since August to stay at my low. Eating to average for ten pounds below goal but still the weight gain.
Incensed, despondent, and disconsolate I do not know what to do so I will just keep doing what I'm doing. I know medically, scientifically, etc that I should be loosing weight or maintaining ten below goal. For now I will continue on as if I were actually loosing instead of gaining.
While I await my next medical appointments I will come up with another sane approach to fat loss. For once I thought I could actually weigh in at a normal bmi. I was less than 3.5 lbs away with nineteen days to go. Was that really too much to hope for? (Inserted in place of non existent smiley with noose around neck.)

Hold on to those sane thoughts. Many times I hurt myself by not giving my body time to catch up with itself and work that scale in the proper direction. Wishing u well on your next visit to the doc.
