My hormonal skin discolorations are unortunately still with me.  While I am not 100% certain I have/had pcos, it has been suspected.  I have my doubts given I had no fertility issues.  However, except for fertility I fit the pcos profile.

My PCOS never was cured (mine is hormonal driven, my weight wasn't the catalyst of PCOS (stored estrogen in fat), but PCOS did cause some of my weight problem, the rest is my crazy encocrine system).

But none the less, my dark patches did go away. While I was bordering insulin resistant when I had surgery I was not yet "within" range. And now because of my surgery of choice I never have to worry about it again. I'm still on meds for high free testosterone levels (currently 49 on meds high end of normal is 45, I'll deal no need to up the meds for that).

It is great to get rid of some of the annoying side effects of PCOS.

I have PCOS, too. I was on metaformin until last week. Most of my dark patches faded within 2 weeks of having surgery, I still have a little bit on my thighs and ankles, but those patches have reduced considerably.
