Hair loss

I have heard so much mentioned about hair loss from other folks but what about hair loss with our hair, especially permed hair. I just started growing out my hair for braids after wearing a short cut for years. Should I even bother with growning out my hair? I don't want a braid coming out of my head when I turn my head around. Please advise. Thanks

LOL @ a braid just falling out your head..... it doesn't happen that way (at least I would hope not).  I had minimum hair loss.  It started shedding a little after about 3-6 month post op.  I started taking Biotin, Zinc and increased my protein and hadn't had a problem since then.  After a year i cut it all off anyway to match the new me :)   Some people take pre-natal vitamins, use special shampoos etc. Hope I was a tad bit helpful.  Wishing you success on your journey!

It's probably going to shed a little bit around 3-6 months just from the impact of the surgery. I lost alot because I wasnt getting enough protein in. I increased my protein shakes until I could eat more meats/beans. Doc recommend 60-70g's a day. I aim for 100g a day (food & shake).  I havent had a problem since well my edges are a little thin but its probably the braids. It does grow back so don't worry. Your on your way to a new journey.
