LEE's Product Review: Nature Made Triple Flex , for bad knees

So we know I have screwed up knees, particularly my left knee which is short on cartlidge.     When I walk from the bedroom to the kitchen I have pain in my left knee, that is how bad it is, and I have to go down stairs side ways because it is so messed up.

Well this stuff in one day has my knees feeling better already.  I walked in the park at a decent pace and not one bit of pain.  They say it takes up to 7 days to start working, but all I know is my knee ALWAYS hurts and after taking 2 pills yesterday it didn't hurt today when I walked.  Yesterday after my walk I had pain all night long, before the pills.

I will keep you guys posted and let you know if it starts hurting tonight or later on today, but right now it's all good.

I didn't think stuff like that really worked. I might have to look into that. Aches and pains are no fun when trying to get your workout on. Thanks for sharing the info.

Hi Lee, (hope y'all dont mind this white girl popping in, but love reading here, you all crack me up!)

Aye...I wish these bottles actually explained more other than promising vaguely.

The MSM is the key for your relief. It helps with production in HA and pain relief, nearly immediately.

Glucosamine & chondritin yes are good for joint maintenance & renewal, in un-damamged joints only. Cause if not it causes cartilage growth that can be abnormal and cause more problems than good. So don't take too much. Basically a theraputic dosage, not as a treatment.

But feel free to add as much MSM and yucca (fantastic natural pain reliever with HA support) as you want. MSM supports what is there, and stimulates HA (aka joint fluid/lubrication which decreases the pain). Luckily its near impossible to OD on either of these. And my other piece of advice, buy the stuff through a equine store. #1 its usually a top grade (99% pure in most cases especially from Uckele), way cheaper, and also in powder form. Its tasteless so just throw it in whatever you are drinking. MSM, Yucca, glucosamine (HCL only, glucosamine sulfate is useless just like calcium sulfates) and chondroitin all can be purchased separately so you can control the amounts (Like I can get 2lbs of MSM for $10, that lasts me 4-5 months). For the price of one bottle of what you bought you can probably get a 3 months supply of all the same stuff in a better more pure form.

I've been using the "horse stuff" for years( I have the left knee from hell) and it by far is better. Just thought I'd throw it out there. I can give out best sites to buy from too, if anyone wants them.

But all in all, the stuff is good for anyone to take if they do any exercise what so ever.

Going back to lurking now.

Nicole i'm going to ignore your white girl comment,  have you not seen my wife.  LOL.  (White-a-Rican)

Man you have given me a lot to research and scared me a bit too,  I don't need any abnormal growth **** I just want pain relief.   Maybe i'll try the MSM, I did see it when I was getting the stuff I have but yea i'm going to do some reading and talk to my therapist to see what they say.

So do you think this pain relief is just temporary?  Dam you if you say yes.  Dam you.   LOL.   I do have to say that last night my knee was throbing but it wasn't pain like usual.   So I will see what happens after I do some more research and talk to my doc.

Thanks so much for the info, cause I would have been popping these suckers like they were sweet tarts.  LOL.

LOL. I just didn't want people to jump on me for posting (some boards get really touchy). Just had info to share.

I turned into a joint supplement research ***** because of my one horse (think your or my knee is bad, her one knee is 50% larger than the other with only 30% mobility ex race horse). And have tried so much and talked with many, and got that info that I just passed out.

As for your pain relief as I said you can't OD on MSM, so its effects are always there, the body doesn't become immune to it. So no your pain relief is not just temporary. What needs to be done though is do a loading dosage of MSM. Basically double whatever the recommended dosage for 7-14 days (depends how bad your joints are) then keep on the normal dosage. Thats when it works best. But me personally I go for the powdered forms (most pure...I get 99.9% purity MSM) do a 5,000mcg loading and then a 2500mcg dosage is where I have found best (well for me). Cause if you try to do that with the pill form you'll hate yourself, LOL. Plus too many stupid additives.

And a slight disclaimer... your therapist might push the stuff they work with (they also get paid by companies to push products) Or say powdered forms are not healthy (lets see pure form or pills with additives...no question to me, lol). When I did therapy they tried to scare me about using it, but how come I found improvement and stability when I stepped away from pill form? They couldn't answer than one. LOL But this is why you do hear Dr.s and such say glucosamine & chonroitin can only help so much. And most don't take into account the MSM (thats the key for damaged joints).

www.uckele.com They have tons of info, including a human division (I still buy the horse stuff...its the same stuff and cheaper in bulk, lol)

Oh and SOME Glucosimine and chondroitin sould be taken just be mindful of amounts. with damaged joints I advise no more than 1000mcg glucosamine HCL (HCL is very potent and readily used form, Glu sulfate dont even bother with) and 500mcg of chondroitin. This is a theraputic dosage which is not enough to stimulate excessive or abnormal growth. But support what is there and help small areas that need some.

Hey Nicole.  You seem pretty knowledable about this.  I've taken this and similar products for my knee pain and issues and like Lee, I do get some measurable relief.  However, after a just a day or two of use, it makes me swell.  My ankles in particular.  Which product is causing this swelling and bloating.  I don't have hypertension issue or retain fluids, but each time I try Glucosamine & chondritin products this happens.  Thanks.

WHAT!!WHAT!!!    Oh hell no,  I have adema and I don't need any additional swelling.   I am emailing my doctor right now asking him a ton of questions.

I will look for the MSM powder because there is no way i'm over dosing with big ass horse pills, that woud take to many pills to get a build up.

I just got back from my walk and my knee was good again, not as good as yesterday but way way better than before I took this stuff.
