Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses

Weekends can be hard.  Big eating weekends like Superbowl Sunday don't help things any.  Tell the whole truth and be accountable.
Football fan or not, how do you work through the numerous events throughout the year?

The same old question arises every time a holiday or special occaision comes up.
Where will you be if each of these days becomes a reason to splurge?

A more advanced calculator that's still easy to use.
Advanced option lets you choose from  3 different calculation methods.  Enter data once for calorie needs at maintenance;  plus calorie needs for 2 different levels of weight loss; and, results include a week long calorie cycling plan.  Calculator  takes into account age and gender as well as activity level.  Links to other calculators are on the same page.

Not a happy camper.  Two consecutive days with my fat ratio too low and 2.2 lbs of weight gain results.    Anger is not the word.  I am so frustrated that I thought about saying fkcu it and picking up snack foods.  Instead I settled for a 2 ltr bottle of coke zero and some cold cuts.  I may continue to gain but it will not be because I ditched my plan.

You letting that scale play tricks with you. Leave it alone. Easier said than done, but don't allow the numbers to upset you. I am happy that you are in this for the fight though. Giving up is not an option. when you say forget it that mean you are giving up on yourself, and you are not allowed to give up on you. I you for grabbing a coke zero and some cold cuts because frusrations can make us pick up the wrong things.

Thanks luv, but staying off the scale would be like burrying my head in the sand.  Before I know it I'll be 10 lbs up.  Having to look at that scale today helped me leave those snacks behind.

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday! I didn't get my treadmill on, but I did go get my son a haircut, grocery shopping, and went clothes shopping for the kids. We stopped at Popeye's chicken near the shopping court. I searched for an healthier option, but everything was closing down. I went ahead and ate with the family. I didn't want to eat the chicken because I knew it was high in calories, but I had a wing, half a wing, and a thigh without the skin...oh and a tbl spoon of mash and gravy. It was pretty good, but the chicken was a little too salty. I wasn't happy about that choice, but I didn't let it throw me off. I still maintained my calories for the day even without my three mile walk. I will have to finish up my six day workout program on sunday. I need the rest anyways.

Rest days from working out are allowed and encouraged.  Its nice to get out with the family.  Over time we learn to be creative with fast food to stay in control.

Saturday I woke up and decided I needed to go somewhere positive. Searching Lemonade diet and others my mind made up I decided to get on the train. Yes, the protein train. I know where it takes me and I enjoy the ride. So that's what I started. Here's what I ate yesterday.

Today I have bumped it up a tad because of the choices made. I went over on the carbs today and decided only to drink 1/2 the protein shake, but Monday wiser choices will be made. Didn't realize I'd use half my carbs in 8 oz of skim milk. I'll use water in protein drink next time.
Have a great Sunday - Go Steelers!!!

Choo choo go protein train.  There is an atkins and other low carb group on OH.  http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/  Us low carbers can 'gather' without the bs from folks who do ok while eating carbs.

Unsweetened Almond milk has only 2 carbs per 8 oz.  Healthy n' fit nutritionals 100% egg protein is zero carb.  I like my shakes on the light side so I just use water.
