How much fruit and veggies are you eating?

I realized that I am not a fruit person, but I am learning to love it. I started out eating apples and bananas because those were the only fruits I could tolerate. After eating the same fruits over and over I am trying different fruits; pears, cherries, strawberries, and etc.  All so good. I have not had any peaches, nectarines, or plums, but I am sure I will soon.

While I love fruit I am too carb sensitive for simple sugars on a regular basis.  I eat all types of fruit but only occaisionally.  My carbs come predominately from veg.  How much depends on my planned carb level for the day.

I eat simple carbs, I gain weight.  Its usually immediate, I will see an increase on the scale next day.  Often for a few days in a row I can continue to gain.  Being back in weight loss mode, I even picked plain fresh orange slices out of my salad at a dinner party.  I'm taking no chances.

It's not jus****er because diuretics do not help.  Doing the math would say one banana or an apple can't halt your weight loss, but it can for me.  The math would also ,say it can't possibly be fat gained.  Yet the weight only comes back off if I treat it like fat loss.

You'll see know it all folks on forums berate others who are like me telling them its impossible.  Even if their nutritionist  and physician concur.  Bull****  That's why you have to know your body and screw opinions.

As advised by my surgeon, I eat simple carbs after a cardio session when my metabolism is at its highest.  For events, I plan ahead and pay it forward in exercise and calorie cutting so I loose a few pounds in advance.

You do have to know your own body and find your own way to lost and maintain weight-loss. I noticed that I can drink a lot more water when it is room temperature. Not a lot of people like warm water, but it works for me. I need to pay attention to what fruits do during my weigh-loss because I didn't think it could hinder weight-loss after surgery, but there is no telling because we did re-arrange our insides.

Get th water any way you can.

Tracking your weight and your food will help you learn how different foods impact your weightloss.

Fruit sugars trigger insulin production for everyone just like other simple carbs.  Rny improves how your body handles insulin.  It can actually cure type II diabetes.  But, sugars will still increase your insulin production.  Isulin spikes promote fat storage.
