Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses

We're closing out the first month of the year.  How have you started 2011?  Tell the whole truth and be accountable.   Is it representative of what you want for yourself this year?  If not, how are you dealing with it?

Handling sucess is relatively easy.
How do you handle the disapointmens?  How do you handle your short comings?  This is where we can set ourselves up for failure.  Things don't go well and we go off the rails.

It will always be a struggle, but giving up is not an option.  Review your plan.  Make adjustments.  If it is not working change it.  If it is working replicate it.

...All are welcome, jump in at anytime.

LV'N MY RNY.  WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.

So Blessed!

The theme of this post is so true.  If it's not working, change something.

I was running into barriers getting in my walks at work because the gym wasn't always unlocked when I had my breaks.  It bugged me for a while, but then I decided to create some alternative workouts for myself.  I bought some exercise videos that I can use at home and rearranged my living room furniture so that I'd have room.  When it's warm I'll be able to get outside and walk again, but the videos will get me through the winter.  I'm usually beat in the evenings so I got up early to exercise before work.  I feel pretty good today.

I still have my weekly Zumba class and that gives me some group support to help keep me on track.

Yeah for you.  We all know the definition of insanity yet we still get caught up in it.  We can all find solutions to the challenge of exercising if we really want to.

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS ME =  I KEEP TRYING THE SAME **** AND GETTING NO WHERE.

NOT ANY MORE.

I'm stuck in the 140's once again.  While I've done ok for the month, its a struggle to break into the 130's.  Of course going the other way is always easy.  I will hold to my program.  I will see the 130's in February.

Yesterday

   Fat(g)    Carbs(g)    Net C(g)    Prot(g)    KCals
80.16 20.35 12.45 123.57 1301

Calorie Breakdown:   Carbohydrate (7%)
  Fat (55%)
  Protein (38%)

Not nearly enough water and of course it shows up on the scale immediately.  Carbs at induction level.  Protein high, ratios on target.  I have a lot of water to make up for today.

Water is my problem, but yesterday I did get in 80 oz of liquid. Half was fred myers version of crystal light. I did go over a little bit in calories. I made some curry chicken which I have not had in a very long time. It was so good I had to have 2nds. I made two very small plates and no rice, so I didn't do too bad. I just was tempted for another small serving, but instead went to the store to get some crystal lt. Then when I came home I start washing and folding clothes. Gave the kids a bath and just kept busy until I was ready for bed. I had to remind myself that today was another day and I could have a little bit today. But to be honest I am trying not to eat any today. I can wait for tomorrow. Feb. will be here tomorrow. YAY> I need to make it through FEB doing exactly as I am doing now. I plan to add 15 more mins of cardio and weights in the evenings giving me a 45 min day of cardio and 30 mins of weights. slowly but surely increasing my workouts. I also want to stop weighing myself for 28 days if not more. I want to stop falling into that trap of feeling down when the scale does not read what I am looking for. I know If I give it a break and wait for a month I will see some type of results that I can be happy about. At least I know I will be out of the 180s which is what I am really trying to break through. I have not been out of 180s for about 10 years.

Why is it so damned hard to bust through that floor to the next ten down?  180's to 170's, 140's to 130's, 200's to 190's.  We hit that point and its torture to see that number turn over.

Glad you're planning and monitoring and so very determined.

I don't know why it is so darn hard, but something need to give. Move up two move down two...just make all the hard work seem pointless, but I am still going to keep pushing forward. I know something will shrink if I keep at it. If in 6 months I have not left the 80s I know something. LOL

I hear you slimming,  keep up that good work and stay the hell away from the scale.  It will undo all your good.

I have not weighed myself and I am not planning on it.  I know if I get on a scale today it may undo all the good mental work I have gone through.   The scale holds so much power over us it's ridiculous.  I wish I could weigh my scale and call it a fat ass and make it feel bad about itself, and make it's jeans to tight.  LOL.
