Physical fitness is the theme today.  MsSoBlessed still has me thinking. 


Where exercise is concerned:

What must you never do to stay or get  fit and healthy?

What must you always do to stay or get  fit and healthy?

And... one more question for today: Do you have a fitness goal and if so what is it?

What must you never do to stay or get  fit and healthy?
Never follow the identical program for more than 30 straight days.  I wind up with diminishing returns for my effort. 

What must you always do to stay or get  fit and healthy?
Get at least three weekly sessions of non stop cardio that exceed an hour.  Maintaining my heart rate at upwards of 70% for a full hour strengthens the heart and lungs and helps reverse damage caused by long term high blood pressure.   

Do you have a fitness goal and if so what is it? 
Burn 3500 calories (equivalent of 1 lb of fat) from exercise each week.

Never ignore the scale and/or the gym. 

Always take stock of food intake and always pay attention to how my clothes fit.  I have 3 sets of girdles - when the LAST set gets tight - it's time to get real!

My fitness goal is to run a half marathon in 2hrs 45min or less and climb a indoor rock wall. 

I'd also like to squat 200lbs at some point.  Bench press about 125-150. 

 

 

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

never starve your self!!! it seems like it works but the pounds always come creeping back!! never ignore pain, it makes you gun shy and you associate excercise with pain, (plus it gives you a excuse not to exercise!!

always mix it up! running, boxing, dancing, once you get bored its hard to get back in the habit.

i would like to go on a bike tour!!

Eat mini chocolate doughnuts and coffee right before you go to bed

Eat healthy more than you eat crappy, and when you are eating crappy you have to move more.

Finish 2 more rounds of P90X before I leave for my reunion in July
Wear the same jeans I wore to visit my family 4 years ago

Never give up when it comes to exercise. Every bit counts because muscle mass over fat is important. 
Always push yourself  to go one step further than you think is possible. 
My fitness goal is to be able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes in 6 months and 6 miles in one hour in about a years time.
