Sunday dinner?

Umm - not exactly.  I'm going to cook veggies - asparagus, cauliflower (maybe) and brussel sprouts.  I made ranch chili yesterday and brown rice.  I'm also going to pick up some yams - I'm tweeking my program and have a fiberous, complex carb balance to hit.

As for meats - I'm doing chicken breasts nightly with my NuWave - yes, I STILL love that thing- I buy the chicken from Omaha Steaks - it's the perfect portion size and it marinates quick.  In the Nuwave I can cook 2 in about 12 min and it's perfect.  So, instead of bulk cooking thru the week, I'm doing a prepared/cook fresh mix for a little while.

Have a good Sunday errybody!!!

Ms#1MM!  Good to see you back with my cyber meal.    Luv me some asparagus.

Just gonna cook small today.  I don't want too much food around as I drop to atkins induction level carbs tomorrow.  Plus I need a few days of liquids only this week so I can really start to feel my pouch again.  Grazing has gotten waaaay too easy.

A pork chop for lunch and steak later.  Both marinated and either pan fried or tossed on the good old george foreman.  For sides I will try a pork skin stuffing/ dressing idea I came accross and an avocado salad.  I don't want too much quick and easy to eat stuff around.

Gurrrrllll - the NuWave does my asparagus right! LOL - I make a foil pack and put fresh garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil and a lil butter in it - man - that is some GREAT stuff!

i have pork chops from omaha too - but don't know what flavor I want for them yet, so they will most likely stay in the freezer - I think this will be a chicken only week for me - if I get really fancy, I may break out some sole or halibut near the end of the week.

AND - omaha jacked me up with a 50% off coupon for this friday..... it's payday AND I am newly in love with the sesame marinated, precooked chicken breasts!!!! They sell a Apricot Mango Wasabi sauce that is DAMN good - it's fiss-ta go down friday...... lol

I think I might be coming down with something because I finally decided to cook Sunday dinner for a change...plus my no good family members did not send an invite this week and everyone always have prior commitments  for some reason when I invite them to dinner   I cooked some pork chops in the Broil n Bag Seasoned Packs, Cooked Fresh Green Beans and Creaming Potatoes in Chicken Broth; Don't laugh too hard....Stove Top CornBread Stuffing and Garden Salad for those who wanting a substitute or addition.  Bake a Mrs. Smith Sweet Potato Pie for Dessert.   Waiting for BF now so that we can get started here shortly with our dinner.

MM...what's in the Ranch Chili? I love Chili...made some on Friday with Ground Beef, Black Beans, Pinto Bean & Stewed Tomatoes as main ingredients and made it a little hot with red pepper...it was so good.

I'm not laughng at ya.  As kids we loved stove stop stuffing.  If it were not for all the carbs I'd still be having it regularly.  Thanks for the cyber meal!

MD - Ranch chili is just about the same as what you described - I also call it 'Lazy Chili' lol.  I had a can of ranch beans, I browned some ground turkey, added onions and garlic and chili seasoning, diced tomatoes and rotell.  Presto chango! Chili!

 R u SERIOUS???!!!!!!!

Yo - Imma need you  to READ the cans on the veggie aisle!!! It's a style of canned bean - they are usually next to the baked beans, kidney beans, etc...... you DO know where that is in the store, right????

or were you wondering if maybe they were harvested next to land where horse's graze?

or made with salad dressing?

....... ok - yea - I'm making fun - I couldn't help myself!!!!

ain't you supposed to be southern?
