I don't know what is going on. But....
Well I have been maintaining at 177 pounds now for about 3 months. Everyone tells me I look much smaller than that. But, unless my scales are lieing that is what I weigh.
Now the Dr. wants me to lose another 25 - 30 lbs, because due to my height the BMI chart still shows me being obese.
Anyway, we shall see - I am quite content with my current size. Just gotta keep from gaining, so yes I weigh every other day.
Any suggestions for kick starting the weight loss??
Also, I have become a number at my Dr. office, I can't seem to get a clear response on my labs, so I am not certain my vitamin supplements are enough.
I seemed to have developed Hypoglycemia, and feel light headed most days....anyone else experienced this.
Tell me what vitamins you are taking and how much? I feel like I am missing something. I can also see my hair thinning. This too must stop. HELP!

A lot goes into where you land in the end. Including the probability that you may gain a few pounds here and there over the rest of your life. Its real easy to find yourself overweight or obese again in ten years time if you are not vigilant. BMI charts, ideal weight tables, personal preferences, and most importantly your overall long term health are all important considerations. None are perfect.
My surgeon expects 80% of excess lost. I'm going for a normal and 100% of excess. I have no weight loss tips as I have repeated periods of rapid weight gain no matter what I do. Of course it does not come off quite as rapidly.
Biotin (5000) for my hair is a must. Overkill on the dosage maybe but its water soluable so I can't od. I'm going back to building blocks bariatrics. Its inconvenient to have to order them or pick them up at the surgeon's office. However, my labs prove they are worth the trouble. Besides, taking a larger dose of drug store vits does not even save me any money.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I agree with MSW's response.
I also continue to take the biotin 5,000 daily.
Regarding your lab work, I suggest that you take charge of the results tracking yourself. Require a copy of the results from the doc's office that performs them, and track them in a spreadsheet across time. You can then see the trends for yourself and share those results with your surgeon, OBGYN, GP or other Doc as needed. This has saved me money as well as needle sticks for duplicate tests over time.

Hi EDU....
I've often experienced the hypoglycemia and light headedness also. I did before the wls, and have been more recently a couple of times too. I have some blood work scheduled for later this month, and am curious if all is well. I take a Walmart brand multi-vit, 5000g Biotin, and occasional Vit D. I'm pretty vigilant about getting in 60-80g of protein daily. The hair thinning has been the worse for me. I still struggle with getting in enough water. I didn't read whether you were still drinking in your protein. That in itself, has helped greatly in keeping my appetite in check, and continued weight loss. I also do light to moderate weight training and walk 2-4 times weekly.
If you're content with your size, then so be it. My docs goals and mine were about 25-35 lbs apart also, but in the end, the weight kept dropping and I'm closer to his goal anyway...I hit a couple of stalls in the process, but I'm learning daily, that things change if you keep at it and not give into old habits.
