Ok - I'll admit - I'm giving into the gimmicks.... kinda
So - I've decided to run the half Marathon on Feb 20 near me and I've got a solid 7 weeks to prepare. For those that have missed it - I've run two half marathons this year, finishing just over 3hrs each time. For this next one, I would like to finish in 2hrs, 45min. That means I have to shave 23min off my best time.
I got a GPS running watch/tracker for my b-day and today I ordered KettleWorx DVDs to use as my overall fitness program. I'll do a 20min workout 3xs a week on that program with runs on the 'off days' - and my super long runs will be on Sunday mornings.
I'm still working on my eating plan - that is the TOUGHEST part! I am going to take it as far back to basics as I can manage - with fresh veggies and lots of chicken and fish, a lil red meat every now and then.
The 7 week countdown starts this Sunday! I'm excited - but I know this is gonna be HARD as HEYL!!!!!
