As if things could get any worse I was rushed by ambulance on Sunday night to the ER. I woke up at 11pm and when I stood up the world spun and got black ... I began to sweat profusely ... we called 911.
For several days leading up to this I had not been able to catch my breath and was VERY fatigued at the slightest exertion.
Take this seriously ... this could have killed me ... go to the ER at the earliest sign of this problem.
I'm on blood thinners via IV drip; I transitioned to a pill thinner tonight. Once that builds itself to a theraputic level in my system I should be able to be discharged. It looks like this is going to be a 7-day stay. I will, though, be on therapy for at least 9 months. This will require me to have my blood drawn weekly to test my levels.
