Hey Everyone!
Stopping to say "hi" to the BAF Fam on BAF...got back from Switzerland this past Saturday - will upload pics here soon (although, if you are a FB friend, you can see them there).
The trip was a blessing...we performed in 13 concerts over a 14-day period (only had ONE day of rest - and that was the day we arrived!) We sang all across Switzerland, even in Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport...on the airplane going to Switzerland and coming back home. I am now battling a chest cold (thanks to one of my choir members...ol heffa!)
I learned today that my Vitamin D level is very low (which has caused anemia). I have been given a prescription for Vitamin D pills to take over an 8 week period of time. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you fare - if you had to take meds?
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas holiday and Happy New Year!
Much love from Da Chi!
Donna
Welcome home. Yeah... I've experienced the low Vitamin D a couple of times. Doctor prescribed some kind green gel Vitamin D pills I took one day a week for about 6 weeks. Felt the effects right away. Guess what they told us was true... we must take our vitamins, but dang it... I sometimes forget!
Hugs!
Denise
I'm experiencing low Vitamin D levels; I don't have anemia my -- doc told me to do an over the counter pill. So far everything seems to be going ok. I will have follow up labs in Feb.
Happy Holidays!

Thanks to all of you for the responses - looks like I have my work cut out for me - will see how I feel soon!
Karen, Switzerland is all that and then some! Me and a couple of girlfriends are planning a return trip for next August - we have a couple of friends there who want us to come over and spend time there in the summer - they kept telling us how beautiful it is during that time of the year.

Donna, my Vitamin D is low again too. Between the multivitamins and calcium I've been getting 1200 IUs a day but it's still not enough. I've gotten some recommendations from the Main Forum that I'm going to look into. I need something with a higher potency. My surgeon's PA advised adding 800 IUs, but last year my GYN recommended taking 3000. I'm leaning toward listening to my GYN.
I'm supposed to go back in 3 months so they can recheck my levels.
