Thanks for all the good wishes Family :-)

12/6 at 7:45am ... surgery was completely uneventful (Thanks God) ... lots of pain and discomfort UNTIL I figured out how to use the pain switch. My doc prescribes a two night stay so I've been walking around and am finally getting around to checking my messages.

My #1 prayer coming out of surgery was that I could DRINK without a problem. So far so good; I've had several cups of apple juice (diluted) and water today. I also started broth, jello, warm tea, and frozen popsicles. Just a bite or a sip of each mind you.

I feel great given where I am in the process. It hurts like HELL when I cough but my doc says that coughing is good for clearing the lungs.

God bless to all of my 12/6'ers!

Welcome looser!

Keep walkng and when you're sittng, draw the alphabet n the air with each foot every hour or so.  Don't underestimate the value of moving about as much as possble to aide recovery.  My surgeon gives you exercses to do with your pillow in the hospital bed and expects them to be done too, lol.
