Hi everyone, as of December 3 I am officially a year out.  My losing started to slow down around 9 or 10 months and I honestly don't think I want to lose any more weight.  Any suggestions on how to maintain would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Loving my new life and all the wonderful things that go with it, on to my next journey!  99 pounds down and about 10 more to go but it has been a heck of a ride...

I prevent myself from losing by eating lots of twinkies, snickers, m&m's, Oreos, Godiva, Reeces cups.  I guarantee if you eat like me you will not have to worry one bit about losing another dam pound.

You are a year out,  your body will stop the losing soon enough and when it does you will wi**** hadn't, so let your body go ahead and hit rock bottom and then trust me it will regulate it self back up to a weight that proper for it, but not for your head.

Good Luck.

Hi.  Lee's right.  I'm about a year and a half out, and hit my goal around 9 months.   At my one year check up my doc, Nut and I took a look at my diet, fitness routine and labs.  I shared that I would like to just maintatin where I was.  The consensus was that my body would regulate itself, so let it do what it do, and I probably would lose more.  And I did.  About another 10-12 lbs, but I consider that my wiggle room now.  It was suggested that I up my daily calories by about 300-400 calroies (lean meats mostly), which has been hard to do at times, but I try where I can.  I eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day.

I get in cardio 3-4 times weekly and moderately weight train to tone.  I still maintain my daily protein regimine getting in between 60-80g daily, as well as getting in my vits and water.  I'm still slack at the water intake though!

I read a lot of the stories of the vets years out and hear that the weight will come back on you if you get back to old habits and not work your tool.  So I'm not going to fight my body right now if I'm still losing, because there might be a time when I'll appreciate this lean time!  But I'm also doing my best not to let old eating habits creep back in to put me in that position either.  So....enjoy the lean/losing time, build you some "wiggle" room for some bounce back pounds, and get and maintain a good eating and workout routine.

Happy Holidays,

J

Always weigh and measure your portions.  They can easily creep up so you think you are under control but your capacity has increased.

Track your food.  Know how many calories you consume and what you are burning.  Free sites are everywhere or just use OH.

Have a serious heart strenthening, muscle firming, workout routine.  There are lots of free resources on line.  Rest days are needed but exercise daily.  Rest with light fun days where you do something like turn of Fit TV for half hour of Shimmy (belly dancing) including commercials but you have moved.

If clothing starts to get tight you know what to do.  Its back to active wl mode.  Start replacing with larger sizes and you may just keep going bigger.
