I'm in the wrong damned stadium.  That's just how far off my game I am this week.  A string of broken promises but no more.  I am starting to feel human again so its out from under the covers today.

Protein and water.  Those are my goals for the day.  Keeping it simple for the next three weeks.  Cutting the calories to adjust for Thanksgiving and prepare for Christmas.

Not sure if I can bump up the workout as the body is not cooperating but I will get the heart rate up somehow. Gonna get it right today.

I am starting to feel a little disappointed in myself. A person who started off at the same weight has made it to my goal in 9 months. I know I have not had any discipline since I realized I could eat whatever I wanted. Now I am eating chips, ice cream, cookies, pies, cake, fried chicken, pork chops. Sooo many calories. I did have a salad today with ff dressing, but then turned back around and had some chocolate chip cookies. I feel lousy. I know eating healthy is better for my body and spirit. This surgery has my mind all messed up! Tomorrow is a new day. I am going to give my body a chance and cut out the carbs. The sugar is causing me to wake up hungry. Goal: 64 ozs water, protein, carb from veggies.

My surgeon severly restricts carbs in the first six months and several BAF'ers have posted regrets over ever letting simple starchy carbs back into their daily lives.  Now I understand why.  I've let things I never ate as a non op slip in.

I did fine through the holiday weekend then ate a one pound bag of pretzels, a can of ff pringles and an eight oz bottle of almonds this week.  Pre op I would not have gone through that in a month.  Why did I let them in the house?

We've got to stay tough.  Plan our carb 'budget'.  Find substitutes for the flavors we crave.  Change the way we feed ourselves and our families.  They don't need the crap we're eating either.

I hear ya! Tomorrow I am going to the store. I am making my grocery list. I finally got the hubby on the wagon with me. We both plan to eat healthy and exercise. This should really help me win the war! We can do it.
