Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses

Time to ditch the left over deserts and those rich side dishes that aren't doing you any good.  Five days of indulgence is enough.  The rest of the family has also had enough.  They'll get over it.

How did you fare over the Thanksgiving holiday?  Tell the whole truth and be accountable.
Did you pay a little forward in calories cut back or burned off?  Will you have to work off any excess this week?

Think like a thin person and adjust for special occaisions.  We can enjoy the culinary aspects of any occaision without derailing ourselves.  If we are to succeed long term, we need to learn how to incorporate holidays into our lives.

...All are welcome, jump in at anytime.

Oh how I   LV   my BAF peeps    with your messages and texts knowing I am in a foul state of mind and propping me up.  I am truly blessed.

Well, from last Wed to the wee hour of this morning when I finally got to dinner at about 1 am, I paid zero attention to the substance of what I ate.  What I can say for certain is I did not over eat and I got way too little protein.  Its been mainly side dishes, deserts, and junk food.  My late night dinner was doritos with a tiny piece of pie and a chocolate cookie.  Back to reality today.

Protein 100g, liquids 80 oz is my goal for the day.  Also, back to completing insanity.  I do not know what I'll be eating this week but I am feeling the veg.  There will be a lot of protein powder to fill in the gap and the carbs will be cut way back.

Howdy lady!  Bionic fat azz checking in here..... LOL  I still haven't lost a THING - but I set a new personal record for my 5K this morning.  I am running a race this Sat - hoping to make a new race time record.........

I would love to drown myself in a sea of chocolate covered pretzels and diet dr pepper........ but that's not the right thing to do...... it would taste REALLY good tho..... LOL

Anyway - I went to the doc for a physical and he's scratching his head over my weight - he ordered a full up bloodwork panel - we will see.  I'm actually hoping something IS wrong - at least it will make me feel not crazy.

I just read your post on the fitness board and was about to reply when explorer froze.  Hopefully they will find something wrong because you know something has to be wrong.  Its no way near normal to maintain a calorie deficit an not loose a pound or even gain weight for months on end.

In addition to your thyroid levels ask about your adrenals too.  Some medications, supplements, and the adrenal glands themselves can result in naturally occuring steroid levels being too high.  Also, long term hypothyroid can result in what's called adrenal fatigue which  untreated can take its toll on your overall health.

Everyone knows my story with weight gain and difficulty loosing.  Even my thyroid and adrenal tests vary and are inconclusive.  I hope yours are clearly off so you can resolve this long term stall.  More important, i hope you find an endocrinologist that uses more than blood work to evaluate you. It literally took me from 1985 to 2010 to find one that may get my thyroid levels where they are best for me and not the lab.

Here's hoping for just the right disease and just the right solution so you can get back to just the right weight!

LOL! thanks lady! He asked me if I was eating more - I told him - dude, the week I ran the half marathon, I still did 2 or 3 other runs.  the half marathon burned 2100 calories and I have a basal of about 1800...... how da HEYL can I outeat THAT?  lol

I do think the 'key' is my exercise - when I didn't lift a finger, I got down to 175 with food control. But I am not happy with that - every time I get back into a hard exercise groove, I gain..... WTF???  But - this doc understands the factors, he's the primary that does clearances for my WLS surgeon so they work together.  I'm confident and hopeful something will be figured out.

If not, I'm going to do Ripley's believe it or not or Guiness for world's heaviest runner and make some change!!!! LMAOOOO

If I could only find a pcp with that level of understanding about metabolism.  I am so sick of the calories in calories out bull****  Sure docs need to know about your eating habits but if you are approached with an assumption of over eating you'll never get down to the causes.

With any luck and your docs skills, you won't need to check out how much guinness pays, lol.

this pcp is actually the one who does surgery clearances for my WLS surgeon - so THAT'S how he 'gets' me.

Maybe you could find one that does the WLS clearances?

Did mine without a pcp but that's a good idea.  Gonna check my state board for a few names.  Thanks.
