what's your take on paying tithes FIRST and not having enough money left over to pay ALL of your bills??

I believe it's a lot more to it than most folks may be aware of:1. Pay 10% of your earnings to the church in the form of tithes and offerings. (all religions encourage and do this in some form.)
2. Save 10% of your earnings (remember that rainy day the older ones used to tell us about back in the day)
3. Invest 10% of your earnings (not necessarily the stock market but find a vehicle that returns dividends of some kind.
4. Live off of the 70% that's left.
Truth be told some folks live 310% outside of their means to begin with. Can't help you with that one there, Pot-nah, until you start to do better by yourself for yourself. Simple as that.

I have YET to reach a 10% tithing level - yea, I know - but I figure I ain't cleaned up all the rest of my sinning, so it's a wash - Jesus has a long conversational topic list with me already - just hope you ain't BEHIND me in the 'line'...... LOL!!!!
I think it's foolish, quite frankly. They say they are sure Jesus will make a way - hell, he DID with your damn paycheck! Stop turning around and giving away the way he made!!!!!

However, the only two "fat' ones on the program last night was the woman trying to hold down the household while her man was out of a job AND the woman who was trying to hold onto her McMansion after not paying her mortgage for 26 months.
So I deduce that houses make a person fat.
