Just checking in
Good Morning Family,
In everything I do I try to give GOD the glory,
11/22/10 will mark my 6 yr post op. I thank him that I had good success in 04-05... I struggled 06-09 but I never gained. I gained after a work accident do to meds and steroids. I never saw the scales move for all that time and I was a bit discouraged at times but I have never given up. When things looked hopeless for me, I was still believing that GOD did not take me through all of this to leave me.
My surgery Monday was a simple on. My doc just tweaked my pouch, more like a jumpstart, so I am not experiencing all the things I did before but I have more restriction. I had a popsicle and could hardly fini**** that was amazing. I had a Jello pudding 3.7 oz and I could hardly fini**** I remember my initial surgery I could eat a 6oz yogurt with no problem.
I am happy feeling good and doing well, tired a little and irritated by the drain tube but all and all things are good. What is really good was this....After all the years of waiting when my scales moved it was negative....but now it is positive....I am grateful and thankful to say I have lost 16lbs since Monday....fluid? probably but to me it does not matter it reduced the numbers and that makes me happy. It took me 3 wks my first time to see a 25lb deficit. So I am loving me right about now. I just wanted to share my joyous moment with you.
I am on top of my gain, following directions and doing what it takes to make this thing work.....this time I am going to make it. I am not going to allow PAIN to keep me from getting to my goal. God bless you all. Keep Praying for a sistah, because she had a goal to reach.
Have an excellent weekend.

Congrats on your new beginning!
I had my sleeve done on Oct 4th and I'm feeling good about my decision, Its awesome to hear people's stories and to be able to share in the encouragement. My B-day is Nov 22nd so that's a big day for me too, I'm hoping to have dropped 40lbs by then... 19 gone so far, i just gotta stick to the plan and I know God's with me on this journey. Again congrats!
