Mainly Lord & Taylor.  I only shop sales and clearance racks (I am cheap cheep chiep) and they generally have the deepest discounts on the things I like.

Other than that its outlet stores whenever I can.  There are good prices on better brands but you need to know if its really a deal.  Some outlets are no better than the usual sale prices.   Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne are good discount outlets.  At the Gap outlet its clearance rack only.

Last, I sometimes find stuff at Symn's,  Marshall's, or TJ Max.  Expect to do some searching.

Marshalls, TJmaxx, Ross, Nordstrom Rack, Talbot's outlet are good bargain spots for quality items but you have to go frequently and look look look for the "real" bargains on designer goods.  Ann Taylor's Loft's sale racks have become a recent favorite.  Once you get good and develop an eye for the quality pieces you can shop almost anywhere.  I'm not a big mall shopper and never have been.

A good way to start is to go to a store not looking for anything in particular and try some things on if you find something you like and need get it........ if not no harm no foul & you won't be disappointed.  Also if you have a friend who you trust and whose style you like and are similar to in size take them along to give you suggestions. Happy Hunting!

Wow, Pokerchips, you & I have many of the same favorite shopping spots!

Ross is my favorite overall, but I just LOVE Talbot's Outlet and Chico's clearance, Nordstrom Rack (especially for their shoe sale weekends!).

In addition, I shop resale stores.  Although it takes patience to sort through, I've found some real finds in those stores (designer clothes for $2 & $5)!  Many times the original store tags were still attached.  I also love Ralph Lauren apparel, and my husband prefers RL dress shirts, so I hit their outlet store a few times a year.  The prices are just incredible, especially when the outlet goes & puts the goods on clearance!  I have also had good results shopping at Burlington Coat Factory, Steinmart, and even Macy's clearance racks.

I'm seriously frugal, and appreciate quality, so I skip the mall, or window shop there & hit the 'quality for less' and stretch those dollars!!

As of lately, I have been shopping at JC Penney.  They are always sending those coupons $10 off of $50 and $15 off of $75 or more in the mail and then you are able to stack the additional 15% off customer survey coupon on top of that and it is a steal for me.  Also their rewards program can be beneficial as well.  Just a last week a regular purchase of $86.98 was turned into $55.23. I love the way Levi's has changed up the design of their 515 jeans and have since bought two pair of these from JCP.  They were regularly 44.00 but my price $21.24.

I love bargains and I finally realized about four years ago that the best time to shop for summer clothes is right now and the best time to shop for winter clothes is just before spring.  Most stores offer well above a 60% discount when you shop during the "off" season.  This is how I have managed to buy so many clothes during my journey and to not be broke while losing my weight.

Ross, New York & Company, Macy's, Outlets, JCPenny are my favs right now. I do go to Nordstrom Rack sometimes but it can also be expensive. I'm cheap right now since my body is still changing.  What I did was sign up for emails from different stores and outlets for coupons and additional discounts to help save some cash.

You just have to get out there and shop.

Befrore wls, I wasn't much of a shopper.   Now that I'm a "normal" size I agree with PomMom.  I love to shop the thrift shops for "treasures"!  this requires a bit more time and some patience.  I have clothed my ever changing body the last 9 months from Goodwill and other thrift store designer clothes.  I usually pay between $2 and $5 for any given piece.  I too am a very frugal shopper.  Going from a size 24 to a size 8 in the last 14 months required new clothes just about every month.  Buying gently worn, and often brand new clothes from these places has saved me alot.  Besides these stores I also shop at Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshall's.  When I splurge, I like Ann Taylor Loft and other outlet designer stores.

Happy shopping!
