Its's What I Do!

Taking time for ourselves is sometimes difficult for us to do. Every now and again we need to be reminded of how important this can be.

Here are a few lines from an article in last year's OH Magazine by Connie Stapleton, Phd

Make a chart of the essentials for success. Complete it daily and reward yourself (not with food) each day that you complete every goal.

Take your calendar and mark off time each day for the essentials.

Develop the mantra; "It's What I Do"
When you don't feel like exercising remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then do it!
When you don't want to pass up dessert, remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then pass it up!
When you feel too tired to write in your food and exercise journals, remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then do it!

Think like a thin person.
Remind yourself: "If I want long-term success, I make the time."
There are no "good excuses" for not taking time to choose healthy behaviors.

Be a friend yourself.
The time you take to do the essentials for long-term success leads to your health and happiness.

Thanks for a much needed pep talk.  Selfish by nature me time is a given, lol.  But, to think like a thin person?  Well that takes practice.

"It's What I Do"... This is so on point.  I keep reminding myself about the things I did before becomming obese.  Good habits are harder to return to than bad ones.   Living like a thin person is just what we do now regardless of where we are from goal.

You are right, it is harder to return to good habits vs. bad ones!!!  I often wonder why this is.  But regardless we have to replace our bad habits with good ones not matter what!!  And every since I read this post last week I have been telling myself, It is what I do.  I stole this one from Back on Track board on here.

This week will be the 2nd week I have gotten in 360 min of exercise!!  and I have not had any fast foods or FAT foods since Sunday!  The results is 8 pounds lost since Oct 1st!!  I am getting excited because I think everything is finally coming together for me after months of struggling up and down.  I know it is coming together.  I went to WLS support group Tuesday and it was good for me to see honeymooners excitement about WLS.  Some of it rubbed off on me and I needed to remember it.

My goal is to see 300 pounds on my ticker in 2011 and to be under 300 pounds by March/April 2011 and I am going to do it.  That why it is time for me to buckle down and eat right.  We are going to be thin thinking people and continue to do just like them. I exercise like a demon already but upping the minutes per week has me losing a pound every day.  I am going to enjoy it.  I know when I get smaller that want keep happening.

Thanks for keeping me inspired!  You are truly my inspiration!
You have so much to contend with and you are still trucking on and not letting nothing stop you!  And I aspire to be just like you.  Nothing is going to stop me this time, NOTHING!  If I get sick, knee hurts, etc I  remember MSW!  If she is not letting nothing stop her, I am not letting nothing stop me either.....:-)  It's what I do!  Have a good weekend MSW!!

Awww, you flatter me.  Its less inspiration and more no turning back in reality.   We've already been cut and what's done is done.  You have a great weekend too.
