I have been doing the protein train since Oct 01.  I weighed today and down 6pounds.  I'm hoping to stay on this train till December, I know I will have days when I eat something I am not suppose to have, but for the most part i want to adhere to the diet.  Just wanted to know if anyone has been on this train for a long period of time and if so what were your results.   I hoping to lose 40 pounds by February which will be my 1 year anniversary.

I have found that it's better not to stay on for very long periods of time.  I usually break it up and come off on the weekends to allow for some carbs.  This way you more than likely won't get attacked by the carb monster.

Doing it that way produces better results for me.  Otherwise, as soon as you get off and start eating carbs, the weight will come back.

I was the queen of riding the Protein Train and have done it for periods of a month....coming off on Sat. and Sun.  When I come off, I don't overdo it with the carbs during those two days.  I try to balance the good carbs I eat with the protein and make them as close to even as possible.

Just passing along what works for me.
Wishing you a successful journey!

I was thinking of  doing just that.  The protein train isnt as bad as I thought it would be.  Once i hit my personal goal of 185, I am planning on joining WW, so I can at least maintain.  I have came to realize wl is a lifetime problem.  I plan to win at it!!  Thanks for your post!

I hear that WW is changing up their plan some time next month and it allows for more points and you will still lose just as much weight.

I tried the protein train and it wasn't a good fit for me.  I feel better physically and I'm more alert if I eat at least some carbs every day.  Most of the carbs that I eat are in the form of fruits and vegetables.
