Protien Train Results

Hey BAF,

I wanted to follow up with the final results of my protien train experience.  I followed the Adkins Induction Phase (Adkins- Phase 1) which I found to be pretty much the same as the protien train.

There were a few times that I was stuck and had to eat something in an emergency.  I diverted from the program by eating an extra protien bar or shake.  There was another time I ate chinese shrimp & broccoli (no rice) and one time I ate the chicken teryiaki at the mall with the vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, sprouts & a sliver of carrots- no rice).

I started on Sept 20 at 230 lbs.
I lost 9.75 lbs to 220.25 lbs after the first week on Sept 27.
Gained 4  by Oct 1 at 225.
Lost 1 more Oct 4 at 224.
Total Net Loss in 2 weeks: 6 lbs down.

Wish I could have kept the 9.75, but I'm not mad.

Glad I took the ride and I'm getting off at this station.  I'm going to transition to South Beach and stay there until the end of the year.  Your results, constructive comments and suggestions are welcome.

I'm with you on the South Beach - I've come to the conclusion that I lack the resolve to do Atkins phase I - but I can South Beach it with few problems or issues.

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Thanks Boo,  Let me know bout easy recipes, seasonings and food combinations you like.  I get real bored with repeat menus and I need ideas.

BTW, I'm also looking for the off brand Nu Wave that I'm sure I will find this Christmas shopping season.  $200 is more than I want to spend right now..

I did roasted eggplant and yellow squash slices seasoned w/olive oil and herbs - topped with olive tempanade, roasted red peppers and a lil mozzerella cheese... WHOOOWEEE!!! rolled that up in a low carb tortilla - talk about good eating!!!!

I have been dogging out celery sticks and cheese spread too - great low carb snack.

tonight or tomorrow night, I'm going to grill an asian pear w/brown sugar Splenda glaze and SF cool whip.

Thanks for posting your results. I have decided that my body has gotten used to Atkins and I will be transitioning into Weigh****chers very soon.  WW is changing up their plan beginning around Thanksgiving.  You will be allowed even more points and to possibly lose even more weight.  My little birdie tells me that I am going to love.  I have never looked at the South Beach Diet. I may give it a looksy before we start WW within the next week.
