 Subject: FITNESS

Just like you plan your food - you should also plan your fitness.  I am pretty sure we all know what we are going to or want to EAT today, tomorrow - probably thru the week - but what FITNESS do you have planned????

Here's mine:

Mon - full body weights, 2.5mile  run
Tues - rest
Wed - full body weights, 2.5mile run
Thurs - 4mile run
Friday - full body weights 
Sat - rest 
Sun - 10mile run

So - what's your plan?

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

You can do lower body weights and run on the same day? Isn't that a lot on your legs? But hey, if it works more power to you!

 I can - I just don't go as hard as I would if I wasn't also running.  I use slightly lighter weights and do structured sets instead of supersets where I go to failure. 

Example:
leg press - 180lbs, 3 sets of 10
squats - 70lbs, 3 sets of 10
calf raise - 180lbs, 3 sets of 10
hip add, abduction - 90lbs, 3 sets of 10
This is it for lower body on a run day

On a non run day:
leg press 180lbs, 3 super sets (usually 20-25 reps)
squats - 70lbs first set, then 90 for supersets
calf raise - 200lbs supersets
hip add, abduction - 90lbs supersets
lunges - no weights, supersets
I do my tricep kickbacks on a squat position
Leg extension - 90lbs, superset

My plan is 360 min of exercise each week for the next 8 weeks with 1 to 2 rest days.
4 days at gym minimum and other days a walk or exercise DVD.  2 all cardio days at the gym and 2 to 3 days of weights at gym.  I do Leslie Sasone DVD's on off gym days.
