Never Say Never!

FRUITFUL :-)
on 9/30/10 3:30 pm - KY

I remember saying that the lap band surgery would be my 1st and only weight loss procedure.  Well I have learned to never say never!!

I have to go through the process all over again I'm scared, nervous, sick, upset and everything else, but at least I know what to expect.  I started to keep it all to myself, but this journey is about sharing experiences.

I have a hiatial hernia, which has caused my stomach to move up in my esophagus -- and the result of all of it is my band has been pushed out of place (slipped band).  The test results read "other than that, every thing was ok"  well that's enough right there.

Prior to that, my endoscopy revealed that I had a bacterial infection (unrelated to the other stuff) but from contaminated food!!!!  My dr. said just 1 or 2 more days and I would have ended up in the hospital -- WoW

There's always something good to be found because I thought I was having a heart attack -- but I didn't -- so that's a blessing.

I'm just glad that I trusted my own gut instincts and that I have a new doctor that listened to me when I said something was just not right and the pain was not normal for me.

Anyway, I'm preparing myself for what ever comes my way -- my surgeon said that everything looks ok with my stomach, but he won't know for sure until the surgery.  I could wake up "bandless"

So no more hiding out -- I stayed away because I just could not get it together, and now I realize that I'm dealing with stuff that I can't fix on my own.

Life happens and I will get through it with a whole new outlook of "Never Saying Never"

Peace and Blessing

Karen

(And through it all, I still remain FRUITFUL)

Awwww Karen,

Now you gotta get naked again for someone else other than your hubby(you know I had to slip that one in)

Seriously though, I am glad you found out what was really going on with you.  I pray everything turns out alright for you. Prayerfully you will still wake up with your band.

When do you go for surgery?  Keep us updated ok.

Much love sweetie.
