It was a break even day calorie wise.  Exercise, vits, ok.  Water came up short and I just got the minimum protein.  These days still scare me but I'm trying to cycle my daily deficit for the benefit of my metabolism.
RDI(%) Fat(g) Carbs(g) Net C(g) Prot(g) KCals
Eaten
KCals
Burned
KCals
Deficit
98 80.96 184.75 138.85 77.17 1761 1835  74

I started this week within plan but need to get my daily protein up and the carbs down.  Yesterday's menu was mostly foods I avoid.  Only I can keep this week from becoming a total cluster fkcu.  Today I will make better choices.

I planned out my low carb week this weekend so I'm good to go! I am still trying to kill this sweet tooth or at least eat healthy sweets . I have dropped another clothing size I'm down to 8's my goal is size 6. People are telling me I've lost enough weight but I'm only five foot tall so I'm going to keep going. I still have not joined a gym but I'm walking a lot and the scale is starting 2 move again! Wooowho

I don't post often anymore because big brother is watching & posting on this damn Iphone takes a minute but I'm around I need this site to keep me on target. Peace

I which this site would go mobile enabled.

So glad this scale is moving and the sizes dropping.  I'm not very tall either just 5'4 so I understand wanting the smaller size.  It makes us look taller, lol.

I think it was MStarJones put it best, I am a member of the Noassatoll tribe.  To my surprise the assless look better with smaller proportions.

Had my protein shake and subway yesterday. I even gave in to a rib last night. I did like you said and took the fat off. Plus it was real small. Not too much fat or meat for that matter, but I did not get a second or third. I waited 30+ mins and made me a crystal light to finish my 64 ozs of water. The other 48 was plain water, so that was a plus. I walked on my treadmill (two 30 min. walks). My sub was hiigher in cal than I expected, but I am not sure how high since I didn't put cheese on it. I think the count was with cheese. I had the meatball sub. Never had it before, but it was pretty tasty. I talked to a lady who had surgery around the same time I had it. We both motivate each other, but I am even more motivated because while I went of track she didn't. Now she is down another ten pounds and ten pounds away from her goal. We both have the same goal of 160/165. I am 22 pounds away from goal. That's what happenes when you give up. So I am still on track. Today's plan is to stay on track as well. I want subway again today..hmmm, but it will have to be a tuna sandwich which are pretty good. I guess I am on a subway diet this week. After this week I will be cooking again because i can not afford to eat out. If I could it would make this process a little more easy. Enjoy your day. We are going to make it to goal and stay there.

Good for you hanging in there.  Its the fat and sauce that make ribs high cal.  Its surprisingly easy to get around them.

Did you check out subway.com?  They have a tool so you can get the exact calorie count on any sandwhi*****luding cheeses, toppings, and dressings.

I control calories much better at home than eating out because of the ingredients.  Now that so many fast food chains have meal planners on line its easier to get McD's or Dominos than eat in a good restaurant.

Last week was overkill for me with the protein. Michelle J & a bariatric coordinator nurse from last weekend's Walk From Obesity told me that I'm going to kill my kidneys. My goal is to keep my protein at 60g.

I didn't enter my food into my daily plate yesterday. I think I did okay.

Goals for today...
All of my vitamins
100oz H20
60g of protein
60g carbs
1 hour on the treadmill

It looks like a good day planned.  Congrats on the walk.

Wow, how much protein were you getting?  You've got to take in alot for kidney damage.  The issue's been around since the 70's, but medical studies haven't proven this theory on protein based diets.

For nearly forty years, reasonable high protein low carb diets have not been shown to equal kidney disease.  If you already have kidney disease a high protein diet is not safe.  Of course its water, water, water for anyone on a protein based diet.

Thanks for the info and the congrats! We had a great time!

What's considered unreasonable? I increase my protein when my carbs go up. Like last week. I had a 161 protein/134 carb day. That was NOT a typical day for me. I had Chipolte and chips that day so I added in some extra cottage cheese to up my protein.

I'm so confused.

The 160's is fine especially since you get 100 oz of fluids in.  A lot of body building sites will advise protein well into the 200's for muscle building.  Low carbers sometimes use that as a guide, but few are pressing 200 lbs.  No danger has been shown in your range.

My dad had kidney disease so I did a lot of research and spoke with his nephrologist about his diet.  That gave me an opportunity to confirm a few things for healthy people since I was doing atkins at the time.

My personal guide is 150% of my protein needs (weight divided by 2.2).  I rarely exceed 200% because I have restrictions on total fluids.  Even limiting liquids to 90 oz max, its no strain on my kidneys.
