CHEATING (LONG POST)
Hello Everyone,
I had been planning a cheat day for the past three weeks because I knew that I wanted to enjoy myself when we went to Houston to enjoy lunch & Tyler's play. For the past four weeks I had been in "carb rehab" doing Atkins and I had lost all the weight that I had recently regained...except 2.6 pounds of getting back to my lowest weight of 185.8 back in January. Before this planned cheat day, I said that I would write down everything I ate so that I would know exactly what would be the cause of my destruction. I am posting this post for therapy for ME (or anyone else who chooses to read it or learn from it) to show how quickly it is to regain weight because of my love for food. So here is what I have eaten within the last 48 hours...
SUNDAY 09/19/10 188.6 POUNDS
(Packed my little cooler for the 2½ hour drive with 4 bottles of water)
Breakfast~Coffee, 1 egg, 1 sausage
Lunch @ Grand Lux Café~6 Jumbo fried shrimp, 15 french fries, 2 peach bellini’s (yummy I'm saying that now until the the bottom of this post)
Snack at the Play~1 Strawberry daiquiri, 1 cup popcorn, 8 Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies
Water~16.9 ounces
Dinner~¾ cup pinto beans & sausage & ½ cup rice
I DID NOT HAVE BUT ONE BOTTLE OF WATER ALL DAY !!
MONDAY (09/20) A.M. WEIGH IN 191.0 (UP 2.4 POUNDS)
Breakfast~ I lost my appetite after looking at the scales
Water~16.9 ounces on the way to
Lunch @ Chili's~Margarita grilled chicken (Breast only...I had them remove the rice, black beans & the tortillas strips and replaced with a house salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese only) & a coke zero.
Water~32.0 ounces (while I was driving around in Alex)
Water~16.9 ounces (on the way back to Dtown)
Dinner~ ¼ cup pinto beans & sausage (no rice this time but I just had to have them again
TUESDAY (09/21) A.M. WEIGH IN 193.4 (UP 4.8 POUNDS)
My body is so carb intolerant!!! Yesterday at dinner was the last time cheating for the next two weeks at a minimum. If I stick to it like I had been before Sunday, it is possible for me to lose 5 to 8 pounds in a week. Of course, 4.8 pounds was just gained in the last 48 hours!!
I will say that I believe I needed a cheat day because I was beginning to feel burned out. From now on, I will try to only have a cheat meal and to watch the carbs even then. It is back to "carb rehab" for me and no more day passes anytime soon!!!

Since becoming a veteran (February will be four years), it seems the only way I can lose weight is to do Atkins or to really get strict and do the Cookie's Protein Train. The probelm is the up and down. I have lost and regained about 40 pounds within the last two years. My inner fat girl will takes over at a split second and she gets out of control.

And that one day gain is no freaking joke. I am up one pound today - here's MY menu from yesterday:
B - protein shake, one hot link and cabbage
L- tuna sandwich, one small bag dill potato chips
S - yoplait yogurt
S2 - two snack sized kit kat bars
D - two soft tacos w/BBQ chicken and BBQ bean mixture I made this weekend
Oh wait! I met a dude for happy hour and had two watermelon martinis and some calamari.
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

"WLS is 90% mental and 10% physical" is one the best quotes regarding WLS. It is unbelievably easy to regain. I know that I did not have enough water on Sunday (except for ice in those delicious drinks). I always say I wish I could pick up your exercise habits but I hate to exercise and right now it is too hot to walk. Let me know how you like the Nu Wave because I had thought about buying one a while back.
