Carbs were up there over the past week.  One thing for certain, I will not loose eating carbs over 100g every day.  History has proven that repeatedly.  With carbs comes water retention and less protein so I'm holding steady at still too fat and officially overweight.  Inches have declined a bit but that's not good enough.

I need to work out my plan for the week.  Failing to plan is planning to fail.  It sounds cliche, but cliche's become such because their ring of truth bears repeating.  Last week's plan was not tight so I was too liberal with the carbs.  Calorie control is not enough for me.

My resolve is stronger this week but I'm still sick of doing this.  It doesn't matter.  I've made a life time commitment to plan, track, weigh, measure...  This is my life if I want to be succesful long term.

Trying to stay on track, but still not completely on track. I eat healthy most of the day, and then some cookies or chips find a way to my stomach. I did walk today. I am drinking water. My cal. count is high and my carb count is high. I am going to finish the day with low cal and no carbs. Tomorrow I need to really track and count. I need to set a plan and follow it. I see people go back to basics, Maybe that is what I should do. Protein shakes! hmmm...That might have to be what I start OCT. 15th. IN the meanwhile I need to keep up the exercise and work on cal and carbs.

I agree that basics are the ticket.   Stray from the basics and you can easily find trouble.

You don't need shakes to get the protein up.  Substitute protein foods for the cookies or chips.  Try pork skins, jerky, or a single serving package of nuts for "junk food".   It may be more satisfying than drinking shakes.

For something sweet add a quarter scoop of protein powder and a tbsp sf preserves to sf jello; or, add a little protein powder to sf pudding.    Protein ice cream is good too.  There are lots of recipes by folks on the rny board or throw your favorite shake into the ice cream maker.  They sell for less than $30.00.

Check out eggface's blog.  There are recipes for protein ice cream and quick microwave protein cakes too.  We can find suitable snacks.
