94 Lbs down...6 more to go...changed goal to see Onderland for a hot second!
I have a cold right now - so soup and sammiches are all I feel like being bothered with - but Saturday I will run my first official 10K race - I'm looking forward to it. I did the numbers, and running that far will burn approx 900 calories. I am not counting a dayum thing called a calorie, fat gram or anything else that day.
Otherwise - I'm going to keep on keeping on - I'm trying to get more lean meats and fiberous veggies in - I'll take some time this weekend to really sit down and plan out a good month in advance - I'm not going to obsess - I'm tired of that - i'm just going to pick a track and stick to it.

I appreciate all the stories of people who have gained some or all of the weight back and how hard it is to lose it. The kinda "learn from my mistakes" accounts def made me take notice. I see some of the most successful people are ones that keep it consistent. I have to be like you and start planning better. How da hell do you manage a month at a time? I cooked yesterday for most of the week and I don't even wanna think about next week.

I basically plan out 2-3 meats and 3-4 veggies as sides. I know what types of spices/meats I like, so I research recipes that fit that, then pair and mix them according to what I know I will find appealing. The planning ahead also helps give me something to look forward to, so I don't get preoccupied or off track.

My goal weight is about nine pounds above my ideal weight so I eat to maintain the lower vs goal of 140 lbs. Per the charts, ideal is 131-134 lbs. This allows me 1550-1600 calories before exercise. That's plenty for me.
I'm new to this but I expect to track my food and workouts forever. By working towards ideal, I allow for my slow metabolism and give myself a cushion. I will always struggle with sudden rapid weight gain so I must keep a cushion of about 10 lbs. I have a pair of goal jeans I fit weekly. If they don't zip up I know its active wl time again regardless of what the scale says. Of course I remain a scale ***** I weigh almost daily but minimum twice a week.
