DEXA scan results - and no - it ain't pretty
*queue the anvil on my heart*
I'm dumbfounded. 5'8'', 215lbs. 42% fat. But I will be running 6.2 miles this Saturday without any problem. 42% fat and I will be in the gym in the morning doing leg presses and calf raises and squats with 100-200lbs. 42% fat and I can do things TODAY that I could not do over a year ago at 185lbs.
Athletically, I am in the best shape of my LIFE!!!!! 42% fat.
...that is all. I am done. I can't even say I want to quit - I don't. But - I am, indeed, a failure. A 42%, 32.7 BMI - big, fat ass failure.

FKCU THAT FAILURE **** Look at where you are now. What you can do. How much you've lost. Where you were when you started.
You may not be where you'd like to be but you are a damned great success. Keep working it. You can bring that bmi and body fat % where you want them. Or maybe with all you've accomplished you're already where you should be and 42% / 32.7 bmi are just numbers.
Should you decide stay as is or to get back into weight loss, don't downplay your accomplishments. Wanting more or being content as is makes you no less of a success. You done good. Use the info but don't let it knock you down.

They aren't just numbers. Those numbers got me qualified for WLS - they're not just numbers. They DO mean something - back then, they meant EVERYTHING - they meant I could have a shot at a surgery that could save my life. They are never just numbers.
I will do some serious thinking for a while - I'm not sure what's next

I can't help but agree that they are not just numbers. They are the objective measures of our results. I envy those who can dismiss the the numbers. They mean everything to me too.
Damn, look how soon you are running a real 10k! Make sure you get a picture crossing that finish line. Numbers or not, thats real success in living life terms.
Say - are you still grunting and breathin heavy in the gym? hehehehhehehe
