Congratulations on surviving this hurdle.  I have an 18 year old daughter of my own (and a 16 and a 13), my trailing leg hasn't fully cleared the first hurdle yet and I can see a course full of them ahead.

Well said and well lived.  You're a good dad.

She's beautiful!  You are such a great dad.

Do not dwell on those things you've not, but gives thanks for the things you've got.

Donnie, I'm a straight up daddy's girl myself!  He's still the most amazing man I've ever met!  I love him for life and beyond!.........I feel your love for baby girl!  Don't ever stop giving her that love and support.  She will find her way with you in her corner.  Thanks for sharing this story.  She is so beautiful!

God bless you, Donnie, you are the epitome of a PARENT and a FATHER as it relates to allowing our grown children to learn lessons, rather than keeping them tied to our waists, etc. I was blessed reading her story and seeing her picture. She knows (and knew all along) that she had a father in her corner; yet, in her mind, your baby felt the need to see (for herself) whether (or not) her mother was also in her corner as her daddy is.

Stay true to yourself, Donnie...I encourage you to never waiver in what you believe to be right for your child. God has blessed her with life - now she has to take that blessing and live it to its fullest!

Thanks for sharing...

God Bless the two of you.  Sound like mine she went and did her thing came back saided she never do it again and she's a fantastic daughter and mother
total workaholic like her dad.
P.S. I always wonder if this was just a story that you was making up.  It was so close to what had gone on at my house a some years early.

I am forever a Daddy's girl and this brought tears to my eyes.  I think your daughter now appreciates and respets the life and expectaions of life with you....some children never learn, both of you will grow and be blessed by this experience.
Thanks for sharing & you have a beautiful daughter,
