what have you done today?

*I* ran 3.1 miles in 42 min this morning and I would love to lie and say it was easy and i feel great - Imma tell you it was WORK but I did it and I'm glad I did......

so - what's in your exercise journal for today??

Rode 12 1/2 miles on the bike this morning.  May go out and do 12 1/2 more later this evening depending upon how I feel.

My plans are to get in a 3 mile walk, 30 mins on the elipitical and some free weight arm routines................Make it work!!.

Good morning!

After I walked my son to school, I took off on his bike. Not sure how many miles, but I do know that ish didn't last long. That seat was killing my behind.  I walked the rest of the way home and threw the bike in the garage. I'm sure my neighbors thought I was crazy for riding my son's bike  but it was soooo much fun.

I'm going to find a bike online with a BIG comfy seat this week.

Make sure you get a good bike from a bike shop.  Don't go and get one from Wally world or Target, those are not for serious riding.

Going to the bike shop and buying a good bike is well worth the investment.  I think I paid $300 for mine 3 years ago and I wouldn't have done it any other way.  I LOVE MY BIKE...It rides so smooth and the gears switch so nice and easy.  Its so worth the money I paid for it and it has already paid itself off just by the benefits I've received from riding it long distances.

my plan was to do the elliptical at lunch, but that was derailed due to a call from my son's school.  sinus drainage is wrecking havoc on him, so mommy had to go pick him up...smh.  LAWD please let this Claritin D work...young men (men in general) are the WORST patients!!!

anywho, after work, i'll take a 5k walk.

I'm starting the 5 week burn to TT and BL surgery in October so I totally changed my workouts starting today.  Mornings: 30 min elliptical, 30 min tread or 30 min bike (switching every other day). 30 min ab burn class (daily)..ouch...and today..weight training: arms. Tonight: H2O pilates.

Love is all there is, ever was or ever will be...

I would cut that to 4 weeks max.  You need as less stress and strain on your body as possible before you go thru combo surgery like that.  I had an anchor TT and BL on the same day - lemme just tell you - you can work out till you're blue - it all means shyt till MONTHS after the surgery.

The cardio is what will make the diff - it helps with your stress and strain while under the knife, and your recovery process.  also - do you have a vitamin regime?  The right supplements NOW will be extremely helpful later - BUT - if you haven't done them already - DONT now - many things will cause excess bleeding, which you dont want.
