Food additives are still skewing my carb count but I'm resigned to the fact that it won't get much better this week.  Net carbs are holding under 40g as opposed to the 20g I would like to see.  I can't get myself into ketosis but I'm not willing to give up the splenda and cooking will not work for me this week. 

I'll do the best I can.  I've had no simple carbs for the week and I'm sticking with this approach.  Protein foods, lc protein bars, sf beverages, protein powder have worked for the past two weeks.  The scale was up yesterday and its getting to me bad but I'm reasoning that this is just a normal fluctuation and trying to make myself believe it.  Vits on point; a little too high on the fluids; exercise on plan.  I'm going to make today a good one and hopefully I'l be down two pounds for the week by Monday.

Hey M, I see you are having trouble with splenda too.  True to my word, I finally faced the scales this past Sunday after semi low carbing/exercising for a little over a week.  I weighed 198.6 at that point.  It is a reality noow I definitely was back in twoterville but I refused to get on the scale to see the number.  This morning....194.6!  My Mother's 70th birthday celebration is this weekend.  I will enjoy but I will return immediately to low carbing! Thanks for all of the encouragement while I took a detour to carbville and I appreciate your support now that I am in carb rehab!  And the quest continues for my goal weight...

 My legs are still killing me from Wednesday, but I am about to get dressed and take babygirl to school and do at least two miles in the park.  I'm working from home this morning, so I am going to hijack some of that time to get on the track at the park nearest my house.  Ideally I will also do kettlebells when I get home. 

Now this swelling thing is bothering me - last night, I noticed my ankle and feet were swollen too - at the chiro - my BP was 142/81.  WTF???!!!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Get that bp under control.  High bp and swelleng often run together.  Careful, no injuries with the soreness...

Hey MSW..

Been doing good up until this past week. I've been on a straight sugar/candy binge all week!! And then feel bad after I eat it, but it hasnt stopped me from doing it the next day. I do realize that I haven't ate breakfast or drink my protein coffee in the mornings this past week-so that may be the trigger to it all.. However, I have been doing my cardio/walking/weight training.

However, I plan to restock on the powder (which is why i havent had the protein coffee), eat some type of protein brkfast,  and continue to hit the gym.  As far as the candy, I don't buy it, DH does (although he knows I literally tries to avoid it), so I will have to find a plan for that.  I'm still under the 200 lbs mark, but seem to can't get out of the 190s..

You know whatyou need to do.  Eat your meals so you'll have no room for the junk.  Now to get over the sugar cravings...
