give me my dayum money back!!! I went to see Lottery Ticket AND I was so disappointed. I guess I was expecting to see the main characters make the transition to living large...and the humor in that aspect. It was just not funny too me....just pure ghetto trash....a modern day black exploitation flick...if you ask me. Speaking as someone raised in the ghetto.....I found myself wishing that he would have thrown a few more ethnicities (whites included) in the mix. Even as an exaggerated comedy...black folks are not the only ones that live in the projects and act like they don't have any sense.... I guess this is what burned me.

What movies have you seen lately that you would recommend?

I knew that one was going to be an embarrasment to the race just by the commercials. I have not caught a movie recently. I'm usually late to see anything because I wait until it hits the discount theater. At home $9.50, S GA/ N FL $1.99 if I wait a month or so.

Call me cheap and you would be accurate, lol. I plan on seeing the latest Twilight movie (Eclipse?). That's about it.

We took my kids to the Drive-In to see that movie Eclipse........it was at night...stars were out...I was tired.......

Gurl....I did not get two minutes into the movie AND I was out....right there in my camp chair.

I love Idris Elba!!! I need to check out the trailer for that movie. One of my ex coworker friends just invited me to go see Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts. It looks like a good movie.

Lottery Ticket looked like Soul Plane 2010 just by the commercials alone to me.

I knew in a heartbeat that I was definitely going to avoid that movie. What I can't understand though is with so much talent (black, white, etc...) and money in Hollywood the best that they can give us is this kinda garbage?!

This is ridiculous.

I gotta challenge you on that one, cuz. There are countless examples and stories of Black actors/actresses that REFUSED to play roles that belittled the image of Black people. Forget Hollywood - why can't these actors stand the the principles under which we as Black people are SUPPOSED to live and beholden to the responsibility we ALL share of promoting and showing ourselves in the best and true light?

I'm just sayin........

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
