I could probably use a shrink, but I don't have one.  I'm all about better living thru chemistry.  My PCP prescribes a low dose antidepressant and I'm a happy girl.

As a nurse, how do you feel about Euthanasia? Especially as it relates to the people killed in the nursing home during Hurricane Katrina...if in fact that was the intent of the medical staff?

If I can be expected to make a selff determined plan for how I live my life, I certainly feel that I should be able to have some say in my death.  Who wouldn't want to go with dignity?  I think the Katrina situation is an extreme.  I don't think its right for someone else to place a value on my life.  If a patient expresses desire to have everything done for them,  than we as health care providers need to do so.

I'm a sucker for animals.  In another life I'd choose to be a vet.  I currently have 2 dogs and a cat.

I'm most at peace and 'myself' during my Bikram Yoga class.  There's something to be said for 90 minutes of introspective and quietness on your part as you become one with your body.

Honestly no. There's been good and bad with both the Black guys and the White guys I've been with.  I don't think you can sum up differences based on race.

Thanks MJ....always wanting to try new things. I googled that yoga class and the nearest one to me is like 40 minutes away. How often do you do that? Once a week. I might can swing a class on the weekend...and see if I like it. Peace wherever you find it is a good thing.    I agree about the race thing...but you know...so often you hear the sterotypes & its hard to shake them out of ones mind when you are trying to open yourself up to new things. its good not to limit oneself based on the fear of the unknown.....how else you gonna know...unless you try. I have been guilty of this in the past.....FEAR is the devil.....  Thanks for your reply. Your life seems full AND fulfilling.   

I go to the class at least twice per week and I shoot for 3, ut my schedule hasn't been cooperating lately.  Being stuck in a room and forcced to be silent for 90 minutes gives you LOTS of time to think.

I try to stay busy, and I don't wan to keep waiting until _____ to begin living my life. Dammit I'm gonna live it to the fullest now.
