Nail Salon Charges More For Overweight Customers

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Michelle Fonville said her experience at Natural Nails on Covington Highway in DeKalb County turned from pleasant to painful in a matter of moments.

 

“I was humiliated. I almost cried. Tears were forming in my eyes," said Fonville.

 

She said things went downhill on Monday after the salon manager gave her the bill for her manicure, pedicure and eyebrow arch.

 

Fonville realized that she had been overcharged by $5.

 

“I said, ‘I’ve been overcharged. She may have made an error,’" said Fonville. “She broke it down, then told me she charged me $5 more because I was overweight."

That's messed up!  

$2500 for a chair that only holds up to 200lbs???

I can understand the airlines, but not this one. I hope they boycott the hell out of this joint.

For a chair that costs $2500 two fat people should be able to sleep in it together let alone one overweight sista just sittin in it.  That's way more than what a good mattress set would cost.

We know that is just plain bull****  A standard office chair is rated for 250 lbs.  Anyone servicing the public should be prepared for all shapes and sizes within the range of "normal".  How many salons and barbershops would have to close if they did not service anyone over 200 lbs?  Fat discrimination is still perfectly acceptable yet we are supposed to be tolerant of every lifestyle out there. 

What the?!! Where do you find this stuff? So now I've gotta be a fat ass and pay more to not have nasty feet?

 You was wrong for that one! I wish I was drinking when I read that!!! DAMN!!
