Dont mind them, they are just playing.

The only advice I have for you is to follow everything your dr and nutr tell you and make sure you take lots of pics because you will appreciate it later.  Oh yeah, this journey is 85% mental and 15% physical.  You may not understand that last statement until later but believe me you WILL understand.

Many blessings on your journey.

The best advice I can give is never turn back.  Once you start your new healthy life stay consistent with it.  The rewards will out weigh the work.

So Blessed!

MsRoRo and Ms#1MM, shame on you.    You're gonna scare the newbies away.  She may not know we play the fool around here.

I've got no "to do" list to prepare yourself.  Focus on preparing your body for the procedure and getting mentally ready for life after wls.  Like someone already said, there is no looking back.

Get over mourning food.  No gorging on last meals.  Unless there is a medical reason not to (you'd most likely already know if there was),  increase your protein now until surgery. It will help your body recover more quickly as protein promotes healing.  Cut the carbs and fats now so your liver can shrink.  Fatty liver disease makes the procedure more difficult for you and for your surgeon but diet reverses it.  Post op get off your @$$ immediately.  Do laps around the corridor and when sitting write the alphabet in the air with your feet.  This promotes circulation, healing, and reduces the chance of blood clots.    Exercise starting right now.  Even if its just a short walk do something.  Post op start back exercising the minute you get the ok.

Thats my two cents worth.  Think healthy lifestyle from this minute on.  This is forever if you want to be succesful.    You will be healthy and succesful.

Congrats on your upcoming procedure.  You have already made the best decision for yourself to take control of your health.  Just follow your prescribed program and don't give into your old habits.  Embrace the total process.  It's not easy, but the benefits are SO great!
