Sickness

Hello All!!

 I havenot been on this site in little bit.  Well I am 5.5 years post op from RNY. So far I been doing great,  I am so glad that I still dump, and if eat to much sweets I do get sick, and if I over eat I still have the urge to  puke ~~~ yea.


Well in Aug of 2008 I had to have a complete hysterectomy--sigh.  But since April of this year  I have been getting really sick that I have to go to the ER like 3 times in one month! not cool at all those co-pays are not cheap!

 I am very careful of what I eat, now my husband says I became a very picky eater.

 When I do get sick I  call them "Flare  Ups"  I  get so dizzy, nausea, nasty stomach cramps, and It to the point I cannot keep water down, that  is one of the reason I be in the ER.  Also I have terrible gas, diarrhea, and I am so weak I want to just cry.

 The bad thing is all my labs are fine, had many  ultrasounds all normal, Ct scan are ok. I am just scared Because no one can tell me what the cause or why I have so many flare-ups.  This month , I am schld to see the GASTRO doc.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.  Our surgery dates are only a couple of days apart. 

Every once in a while my pouch acts a fool with me too and will have me doubled over in pain.  The only thing that will calm it is to drink warm Campbell Beef Consomme.  I don't know if it's the heat or the gelatin in it that coats my pouch (maybe a combination of both) but I get relief almost immediately.

Are you noticing any patterns for when you have your worst symptoms?

Hi, I am also 5 1/2 years out, it'll be six years out in November. I too recently was getting sick all the time and ended up in the ER in jan.2010 where they found a hernia near my belly button and I had to have my gallbladded removed. since then I've felt 100% better. hope this helps you.
