This does not make her father a bad father, it's on her for making bad decisions.  Wow, everything an adult does in a bad way their parents are accountable..NOT...

You have good adults coming from bad parents, do you blame that on the parent too?  Wow is all I can say.

Wow is right.  Who would've thought that this would've come from such a privileged individual.  I guess one of Bill Cosby's daughters will have to get arrested for serial child molestation charges in order to top this huh?  Sheesh...

I don't think her father is to blame. He raised her but she's grown and can make her own decisions. It's a crying shame that Fishbourne has to deal with this but she's young and can turn her life around if she wants.

But ummmm, if that was one of my daughters. I would have beat the living shyt out of her and made her sit her azz down some dayum where.  Whether she is grown or not but thats just me..... And they know this.....

I know I'd be crying the whole time I'm whippin my daughter's butt (grown or not) if she did something like this.  This is not the way to show out on me.  

I wasn't going to comment on this b/c giving this chick any amount of attention is a waste of 5 minutes of life however since this has turned into a discussion of custodial responsibility of a albeit young but still an adult, I'll bite.

Just when do the parents stop being blamed for decisions made by their children?  Why is it her father's fault? I mean most young girls love their fathers' but emulate their mothers'. I think we as a society love to allocate responsibility to everyone but the real person to blame.  Once your parents set you out there on that path; it is your duty to walk it...you can do it the right way or the wrong way. It's your choice.

I disagree.  Especially given the fact the girl says she’s been dreaming about this ish since 16.  at 16 – that thought IS her father’s responsibility and fault – she just had to hit 18 to act on it.

 

Now – you COULD say everyone can make their own choices and free will – blah blah blah – but…. Depending on their home life and upbringing – what of those that are psychologically abused or neglected?  Are they duty bound and held to the lofty standard of finding their ‘own’ and fitting way?

 

I have a daughter, as y’all know, and I’ll be the FIRST to stand up and take ownership of every f-ed up thing she does – and y'all best stand back for ever pre-f-ed up thing beating she gets!  There is a right and wrong way to conduct one’s self in the world, there’s a certain ‘honor’ or ‘dishonor’ you bring to your name and image given your actions and regardless of your legal standing as an adult – you ARE, in fact, linked to your ancestry……. So for me – if she chooses to dishonor the family name with some f-ed up ish….

 

She better plan that ish to start the day AFTER I die….. and she best get a voodoo priest, Cris Angel and some psychics to make sure I can’t Sixth Sense or Ghost her azz!!
