I ate out and had a biscuit, rice, and desert.  Thats all it took for the carb monster to suck me in.  Later it was doritos and bottomless pouch syndrome.   It was only one day and I planned to eat 'abnormally'.

Despite the high carb day I met my protein goal.  I also got the vits/ supplements, and water down.  Today I'm back to my usual eating: protein and produce.

The 20 lb weight gain is comming down but not as quickly as I'd like.  I don't know how much is fat and how much is edema so I'm back in  active wl mode much to my chagrin.  I will be back in my goal pants  ---and the rest of my clothing that no longer fit.

Hello Wake Up Call.......:-)  What happened to Zero Jeans.  LOL!

Well I am scared to get on scale Monday.  I am feeling blotted and I have had too much sodium and TOM is heading my way.  But I will get on that joker Monday.  I have been around house all day and no grazing but I need to get myself up and do an exercise DVD!  Hopefully I will get 30 to 45 min of something in today before I go to bed.

Zero Jeans had to step out for a minute, lol.  My screen name serves as a reminder for me.  Wake Up Call refers to my recent poor labs after about six weeks of goofing off.  They did not take long to tank.  Its a reminder to get at least 100g protein and all of my supplements every day.  ZJ can come back when my labs improve.

Even if the scale treats you bad, you know its just TOM and water weight.  You've been doing it right so when the salt and fluid drains you'll be just fine.

Yesterday started off good until I started to feel down in the dumps! I decided to have a couple glasses of wine that turned into maybe 5 or 6. I was so sick! I even woke up sick. That was yesterday and today I am back on trac****il dinner when I have myself a couple of ribs. I made it to the park and walked. Been drinking water all day. Need to start my vitamins so tonight they will be complete. Tonight I plan on walking off the ribs I consume as well because I know the calorie count it high. I will even get in an extra work out tomorrow just because. Its a shame I have to work so hard to enjoy a couple ribs, but this is for life.

Try trimming all  the visible fat from ribs before cooking.  I've always done this (don't like grease).  That's where the high calorie count comes from.  I even strip the fat from the underside of the bones.  Lean pork with the fat stripped away has about 70 calories per ounce.  The grill will take care of the remaining fat and your ribs will still cook up moist and tender.

It took a long time to get my former dh to accept meats trimmed this way with his Southern roots and love of high fat meats.  Of course 20 years later he finally gets it.  At a minimum, if you don't actually eat the fat you save a load of calories.

Now leave that wine alone.  You had it under control and were doing so well.  Time to find another pick me up for when you're feeling down.  You'll be kicking yourself if that wine starts to show up on the scale.
