Huh...I could not hear what you wrote Cookie...LOL! Okay...based on the outcome of this poll...it can be inferred that MOST BAF members AND perhaps African American in general PREFER a charcoal grill over a gas one.  As the day draws to a close, I will conclude the poll by wishing everyone happy grilling this weekend. Hopefully the weather will cooperate where ever you are. Tomorrow is TGIF!!!  Good evening Cookie and all of BAF. Take it nice and easy!

If you taste some meat from our GAS GRILL you would not be able to tell the difference. I agree with getting a smoke box, you want to put your soaked chips in there and don't want to clog up your pipes with the excess chips.

So Blessed!

I didn't know you could use a smoke box with a gas grill.  Do you set it on the burner?

I love the flavor from charcoal but for day to day convenience nothing beats gas.  No waiting for the coals to be ready.  Turn it on and cook.  Easy cleanup.

For saftey:
Always turn the gas off when you're finished.
When replacing the tank check for leaks every time no matter how well you think you've secured the seal.

I like to marinade a good London broil with worstershire sauce and a herb rub that includes thyme, black pepper and whatever else you prefer.  Season it in the morning for dinner.  Heat up the grill and then set it on low.  Cook with the grill closed to the desired doneness turning halfway through.  I also do this with a whole fillet and a boneless butterfly leg of lamb.

Happy grilling!
