Peri Menopause and Balloon Breasts
This is a topic that I've put off discussing online.
I am wondering if there are other women out there who are in "peri-menopause" who take birth control pills for regulation of crazy periods. My breasts regularly inflate and deflate during the month. I have 2 periods each month despite the pills. My butt and hips have started poking out disproportionately to my upper body. It's nice in a way, because guys take notice, but it is strange for my body to feel so out of control and unpredictable. I change bra sizes from high to low weekly. Has anyone else experienced weird symptoms?

Are your periods light?
I started peri-menopause in my late 20s. I actually went on a combination of fertility meds that forced my body to ovulate and bring back my periods. After the birth of my son, my periods went into overdrive...long, heavy and painful. I remember the changes in my breasts and hips, but I dismissed it as weight gain from having my baby.
I did get comfort from the NuvaRing and I did notice a subtle difference. Not enough for "me*, so I had a complete hysterectomy.
The symptoms that you are referring to are quite normal. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, but that explains the so called "middle-age spread" that most women experience.

Cheri! My Angellette!
You are so pretty!
To answer your question....YES!!! My periods have gone from being every 27 days (like clockwork) to twice in one month. I swell ALL over and am just MISERABLE during that time.
I do not, however, take birth control pills. Let's not even mention the night sweats and being HOT all of the time.
Damn! Getting old is for the birds. LOL.
