Foot surgery no exercise!
Hello BAF! Its been awhile since I posted anything. I had surgery on both my feet last tuesday, Can you say major pain. I am still maintaining low carb diet but I am not able to work out due to I am unable to put weight on on my feet withexception of going to the bathroom. Any suggestion on upper body exercises?
hey there! glad you made it thru surgery just fine - make sure you take it easy to recover properly.
as for upper body - there's TONS you can do!
Free weights -
bicep curls
tricep overhead (you raise the weight behind your head and pull up)
shoulder kick outs (both arms up and out from your waist up to shoulder height)
shoulder press
don't forget core!
Russian twist
bench sit ups - this is where you sit on a bench and pull in your legs and lift your torso toward each other.
There's a great workout to be had without putting your feet on the ground at all

Search seated cardio/ exercise for disabled and seniors.
There are many programs for seated workouts. I've attended classes for people with varying disabilities that included able bodied, seated, and wheelchair participants. There is modified yoga, strength band training, and upper body cardio out there.
