Another of my favorite things is to buy articles of clothing and re-purpose them in unexpected ways...

Women, in general, amaze me how they they can take any piece of clothing from one thing, mix 'n match it with something else and come up with something nice looking and entirely different.  Maaaaan, if I tried that I'd look like a hot funky mess trying to rock a pair of Adidas sweatpants, Nike sneakers and Champion socks, a Sean John t-shirt, and a NY GIANTS scully.

Yesterday I wore a swimsuit cover to the office.   Seriously.  Got compliments too.

ETA:
The style resembled this top, but it was sheer and a little bit longer.

Nice.  I'll bet you were strutting around like you owned the joint right?

Like I said before though y'all can get away with that kinda stuff.  Let a brotha show up at the J-O-B sporting something out of the ordinary no matter how fly it looked, we wouldn't get the same reception.

Yes, the attire changed dramatically.  Like with most though, it was because my body changed so much that you kind of have to adapt and step up.  Though I've always had a great style, I just couldn't fit that style that I wanted.  Now that i can......a shortened pencil skirt is my new best friend!  Along with the halters and backless since the girlz shrank to normalcy!  I'm enjoying the freedom to explore the trendier fashions, but I must admit it is taking some time still for me to get out of the mode of heading immediately to the plus sizes and looking for something to cover and camoflage.  It's a work in progress.

Oh yeah.  No doubt.  I still have to fight myself not to immediately head over to something with Algebra sizes (3x, 4x, 5x, etc.) for those exact same reasons.  Even if I put something on with one of the those numbers it does more damage than good.  I find myself tucking it in my jeans or run the risk of having it all billowy in the back like it came out of Little Richard's closet or something.  Not a good look.

I still like the same style of clothing. Fitted and stylishly classic.  I dress pretty similar since my preferences come in all sizes.  However, I will wear horizontal stripes now.  Not on your life in the past.

Word.  I can do the horizontal stripes now too, but only in Ralph Lauren Polo rugby shirts.  I don't mess with those IZOD joints or other cornball designs that have like 3 and 4 colors running across the chest looking like a test pattern for TV.

Heck yeah my style changed. I'm still in transition though. Not sure whay my style really is but I'm wearing things that I would never really wear pre-op. Like sleeveless shirts, halters, form fitting tops/dresses and crop jackets all the time. I did wear sleeveless somethings pre-op but not much. Now my closet is full of 'em. Oh and shoes, I've changed that up dramatically. Still can't wear the heels because of my ankle but after foot surgery it's on and popping again.

Great post.

Glad to hear it.  Once you have foot surgery and it heals you're going to be makin' it happen I see.

I'm still in transition though.

Uhhh... IMHO then you may want to hold off buying any new clothes for about a year or so.  Seriously.  The excess weight, with daily exercise and protein intake, is going to melt away so fast untill you'll find yourself buying new stuff every week just in order to keep up.  During that time you can just keep washing what you have in HO****er and just pop them in the drier to further shrink them a little to keep up with your rapid WL.
