Weight Distribution
hey all,
i am coming up on my 6 yr wls anniversary (where has the time gone) and i have balance issues. sometimes i get off balance while walking and stumble as if im drunk or something. walking on the treadmill, i almost stumble because im off balance (been doing the treadmill for 6 yrs and its still the same feeling). if im sitting at like a pub table, i have to be careful and stand a minute to make sure im balanced. a friend of mine invites my family over to jump on the trampoline and i love it!!! only problem, im afraid to jump high as when my feet leave the trampoline, i get totally OFF BALANCE...
i have always believed that due to a significant amout of weight loss, that the redistribution of weight and getting used to carrying around your new weight differently would require adjustment.
i dont have vertigo or inner ear issues...has anyone else experienced this? please share...

LOL - sounds simple..... but you'd be surprised! It took me 3 months and working with a trainer. PLUS - I found that my workout on the treadmill was just me being a ***** are you running or walking? when's the last time you increased your speed and/or incline? Are you sweating and winded or just chillin when you work out on it?
u silly!!!!
I know what you mean about running - I was scared too at first. But, I will tell you that if you're not feeling a pull in your stomach while you are power walking - you aren't challenging your core enough. The first time I upped the speed and felt my gut suck in..... I KNEW I'd found the 'thing' LOL
When I first started, I literally ran with my head down, looking at my feet the whole time! I ain't care if folk thought I was stupid or not! LOL it took several weeks of that before I could feel balanced.
ANOTHER big thing...... my shoe size... yep - that's right. I had been exercising in the same shoes I'd had for about 2 years.... well, my azz had lost weight and a shoe size, but I didn't notice when all I did was weight lift. I went and got properly fitted for new running shoes - they stabilzied (sp?) my feet and helped me feel supported.
